He shot up also because Ancelotti is a genius and a player of Bellingham's profile is right up his alley. He can turn potential into factual and that's what he's done with Jude.

I think it's crazy how he is able to deal with all the fouls and aggressive nature because the reason he was average in the first half is because of those constant fouls (some the ref should have really called) but Jude didn't give up his mentality is insane because the same way Hazard was such a great player but probs was not used to the insane aggressive nature of la liga so he couldn't show it

Like imagine this, a team with Tchouameni, Rudiger, Bellingham, Militao (when he was fit) isn't even that crazy for most strength output in the league.
Also this isn't accounting for the refs that are easily worse than the refs in the Prem if you can believe it. Ferran Torres literally rugby tackled Vini going at full speed. It should've been a red, he made no attempt for the ball and endangered the player. It also borders violent and harmful conduct in the sport, yet they didn't even check the VAR for it. Stuff like that happens a lot in La Liga without a second glance

I think the game changed when the substitutions were made. Especially with camavinga. Mendy is decent defensively, but even there cama does just as good if not better. But offensively cama provides so much more and rather than pass the ball side to side or back, he will be willing to carry it forward. Real Madrid applied much more pressure and it wasn’t just Vini getting stifled and frustrated without much help on the left. Vini was awful and he needs to develop Jude’s mentality. It felt like gavi was on Jude the entire game and with the amount of fouls he was receiving he didn’t let it impact him negatively in the end. Huge props to joselu, without his movement and luring the defenders away to give Jude a wide open gap the 2nd goal would not be possible

To answer your question about the squads, (because I scrolled the comments for a bit and didn't see any answers)
To keep it short, I think Barcelona have the better squad IF everyone is fit.
That wasn't the case in this game because Barça went into it with *12* fit first team players (including Romeu so 11 really) with the ones missing being including five undisputed starters + providing invaluable experience for the team
To back what you said, yes we're obviously disappointed. I personally went into the game expecting to lose but the fact we had them by the balls for so long then completely lost it is what's made it so much worse
The players obviously lacked chemistry between them especially when you compared to the start of the season when we had more consistent XIs
But I'd still say it isn't the end of the world. This doesn't hurt like other Clasico losses. It's not too costly in terms of the league table and it was good for Xavi to test a new system there are a lot positives to take from it. Especially the fact that the La Masía boys ( Gavi & Fermin) did us real proud

One of the reasons why you don't see a lot of real Madrid fans in away games, is mainly because of the club and the way they sell the tickets, to buy an away ticket you need to be a club member (socio) and the only way to become a socio is if you have family that are already socios, so fans that live outside of Madrid or Spain have 0 chance too buy an away ticket which is a shame, we do have ultra sur that would travel in numbers but they are banned by the club for good reasons.

Jude's first goal says he doesn't see his role as a central AM as a glass ceiling, which is ideal for England. It was quite a non-competitive El Classico even though Madrid won in the dying moments of the game. If he keeps working on his positioning and composure he will be truly world-class.

He did well but he didn’t do this against the main lineup. I am not too impressed to be honest. I would be if he did it against the main midfield of Barca like de jong Pedri. So the fact that the backups of Barca managed to pull off 75 minutes of 1-0 to me that is good. The season is long and four points above Barca is still too close to call. Madrid cannot keep relying on him cause he ventilator he will stop scoring. There is no way he can play all the games there needs to be rotation. He will get injured he already had a minor knock on the champions league so that is a warning sign. Madrid fans be careful. You won the game but not the league yet. As I remember last season we lost the first Classico of the season at home as well but we still won the league so it doesn’t matter really. The only reason Gavi "had him on a leash" was bc he was having to cover up more of defensive failures by Real putting him at a major disadvantage of actually progressing play. If you look at the stats and match, you can see that was still Real Madrid's best passer, taking on players, intercepting the ball, and just keeping hold of his player.
Let's look at it like this, Gavi and Bellingham were both tasked to mark each other. How come 1 of them scored 2 goals and the other didn't amount to much in the match? If anything, Jude's presence was more hindering on Gavi than Gavi's was on Jude
