“We’re barely friends now” nick omg
The curtness 😂
I died 😂
Everyone needs a Nick
LMAO I thought he said "we're literally friends now"
Hence the podcast name lol
I can picture Mateo walking around giving reviews of the playground, and tall ass Nick giving disapproving glances to all of the other snot-nosed kids... in a child's sized fancy blouse. 😂❤
We need a Netflix show of this lol
😅😅
Always weirdly comforting to know people you think are cool were also bullied growing up
cool adults were always bullied. the bullies become losers
Seriously. It’s comforting
Nick’s mom talking about Nick’s ‘attitude’ LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
She was laughing 😭
The way Nick's voice changed when he talked to Matteos mom omg 😂 I've never heard him sound so sweet. ❤
Nick came from a town of 700?! That is surprising because Nick acts like he owns the city. While Matteo is so warm and welcoming... as if he grew up in a small town.
My son used to stand in front of our house, twirling around and waving a homemade paper something while shouting lines from Sailor Moon. The memories...
Mom?
I have to admit that I am loving Nick more and more with each video. I just feel that he isn't giving a 5 word answer. I feel like he is answering the questions as if the camera was not on. I see a sincerity and not a show. It just feels more personal and less pageant. I instantly want to be friends with him. It just feels real.
My husband’s from PA and him answering questions is a lot like Nick’s. Matteo’s is SO midwestern! He’s so amicable and chatty - almost like the south more than the north.
I love Matteo complaining about Nick not just answering the question when there’s only 2 minutes left, but wasting half of that time ranting about it 😂 their bickering dynamic is so wholesome and friendly. I want hour long podcasts of this! Also this content about the struggles of growing up as a queer kid in a heteronormative environment is extremely relatable to me and actually really helps with my own traumas and difficulties in those same environments. I love you both, please keep these coming. X
Chris just dying laughing in the back is everything 😂😂😂❤
Yes!
I HAVE to see a clip of baby Nick as the “Foolish Molar”
I sign this petition
"You are Angelica"
"I am Angelica"
😆😆😆
Realised when i pictured kiddo Matteo watching tv on the kitchen tv he had a moustache still..same clothes too just a child version 😂
Bullying sucks, your mind is so innocent at that age and then it distorts your unique sense of self through no fault of your own.
Will you make Nick reenact his favorite Squidward scene from "Spongebob"?
OMG, Nick’s mom’s heavy Chicago accent makes my Midwestern heart sing! ❤
I would love to see a pic of Nick, the crowned foolish molar. 🦷👑😂 (I mean, of course he’s wearing a crown 😂).
Matteo unifying the Queers by talking about the animated X-Men. It was so much fun!
Its a staple
I like how your Mom just confirmed you have ADHD (like 80% of stand-up comedians). 😅
Matteo speaks like an eccentric elderly woman retelling the golden days lmao
I was in middle school (then called "junior high school") in the 1970s... by far the worst years of my school career - bullies, cliques, gossips, cruelty to anyone even slighty different. I liked high school a lot more and really came out of my shell. But I agree with so many others here that middle schoolers are the WORST and apparently have been that way since forever.
Anyone who works with middle schoolers deserves hazard pay.
I would give anything to meet the kid versions of Nick and Matteo!! They seem like they were so ahead of their time! Wish this episode was longer I would love to hear more about their childhoods!! ❤️🙌✨
Omg I cracked up at Matteo’s Vancome Lady impression from Mad tv 😂😂😂. That was my absolute favorite Nicole Sullivan character!
Nick saying "Love youuuu" to his Mom was quite cute.❤❤❤
The mom segment was top tier.
I, too, watched Sailor Moon around like 5:30-6am when i was a wee child in rural Missouri lol
Same, it was definitely my fav childhood show.
Me too except I'm old so I was in high school in a big city 😅
Middle school is a jungle. Full of frights.
INDEED AWFUL
How could you not like “Hey, Arnold” as a child. Wholesome, real issues. That episode when Mr. Hyunh’s missing daughter and he got reunited. Randy Travis. What I wouldn’t give to go back!
Right!?! I gasped! Never met anyone who didn't like Hey Arnold
Matteo getting Into Hwy Arnold would have had a nervous break down, our Sensitive baby wasn't ready for that.
WE ARE SIZE QUEENS AND DEMAND LONGER EPISODES❤️❤️ love the pod and yall both though:)
“The foolish molar” 😂 Nick is priceless
Well, so the next episode will be about break-ups, right? I want to know more about people weeping in front of Nick
Matteo imitating the Vancome Lady from MadTV unlocked a weird hidden core memory for me
Excuse me, sir, but Pete's Dragon is amazing! 😂
ummmmm OK!!! i adore that movie always will!!!!! THERES ROOM FOR EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD!!! COME ON MATTEO
Agree! Pete’s Dragon 🐉 was fabulous!
To this day, if someone says “For Pete’s sake “, I have to chime back with “And his Dragon”. I’m dumb 🫣
The songs are sooooo catchyyyy. Atleast once a week I catch myself humming “ It’s not easy, to find someone who cares” .
More childhood stories please
Nick was "butch - riding around on bikes" 😂
"The Tooth Play"? I haven't any idea what it is, and it sounds unhinged, honestly. haha
not liking hey arnold is kind of a red flag😂
Mateo and I had the same childhood! No friends, 700 cousins, and we would use our parents cameras to recreate SpongeBob episodes 🥹
As children, my family (we were 4 siblings) lived in a very rural wooded suburban neighborhood, on a large private family estate that we shared with my aunt and uncle and 1 cousin. After school and on weekends, there were no other kids who lived close enough to visit or hang out with. So we 5 siblings/cousins plus our two sets of parents (and sometines grandparents) were our only playmates. We played lots of outdoor games with our two families all together. Cross-out softball, croquet, badminton, horse basketball, swimming. And we worked together as a family on our many yard and garden projects, or washing our 5 cars. On bad weather days, there were indoor activities, again all together in a group of 5 kids and 4 adults (and always our two big dogs, of course.) Board games, charades, exploring while cleaning up the attics, basements, and garages that constantly required tidying up. And a lot of cooking together. We also had a family orchestra as everyone in the family played a musucal instrument (my uncle was a professional musician.) Every weekend, we went, as a large family group of 9, to our lake cabin in the summer. During spring and autumn, golfing, rock-hunting, or hiking. Skiing in the winter. Museum and art gallery visits and music concerts were sprinkled in throughout. Our school "friends" were limited to classmates in the same school group activities such as sports, band, theater, student council. But we didn't socialize with any of them outside of school. I didn't have any close friendships (or date) until college.
Sounds so fun & wholesome! Do you miss this as an adult?
I really like Matteo's t-shirt. Nick needs a pizza hut pizza to soothe his soul.
I’m sure you boys saw but they’re doing a show on Hulu about Donald Sterling. I think Hulu owes you a residual check for bringing that whole scandal back to life.
Nick’s side eye is priceless
OH MY GAWD Matteo!!!! The Vancome Lady from MAD TV was the absolute best and yes my family loved my impressions of her lol
Nick liked to watch Recess as a kid my Spinelli icon has never felt more relevant.
Damn I want a beautiful salad now.
Lmao, I like how Nick considers kickball and riding around on bikes “butch”.
Your stories give hope to a lot of kids that are considered different..so glad you guys are prospering now!❤
Could you imagine the first time hearing that voice come from a 3ft 10in 6yr old child. Id pay him in swedish fish all day long just to hear it if we were friends lmao.
Asking to basket tossed by cheerleaders is hilarious 🤣😂
Childhood, OMG! One day you both need to provide photos! Thanks for this. It is enlightening, tho' not surprising!
Nick glitching out at the end is one of my new favorite things to ever happen! Haha! 😂👍🏽
“Butch “😂😂😂😂 stop it
Great podcast guys! More Nick in stand up too!!!
Nick's elementary school must've had the budget of the high school in Euphoria. A production!
Matteo’s definition of butch is “ in the forest fighting animals”… 😂😂
YES - Xmen Animated Series and SpongeBob too! The last time cartoons were really good on Saturdays..and then after Dexter's Lab, Fairly Godparents and Johnny Test...it all went to crap....*SIGH* AND You cannot fight me on the OG OG cartoons like Care Bears, Jem and the Holograms, Transformers, Inspector Gadget, Astro Boy and Ewoks! Good Bye!
5:11 Nick is done with this 😂
I do look forward to seeing you two. Happy Pride month!!!! 😍🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
I need more of Matteo’s mom.
What a savage.
Matteo's mom's accent 😭
Ok that’s it. Pete’s Dragon is AWESOME…and talk about vibrato! Your wobble is low key insufferable, Matteo 💋
Did Nick get ripped off at music school? I've never met a singer who doesn't want to sing, and - when they're forced to sing - doesn't give it a full-throated effort (a la Matteo)
I demand a full rundown of “the tooth play” 😂
People can say Nick is harsh etc, but the more I watch, the more I realize how extremely arrogant Matteo is.
Y’all, Matteo’s not a “try hard” - that’s just his personality and story telling style. It’s a podcast - you HAVE to stand out. Also, just don’t listen if you don’t like him? These comments are insane for something so asinine.
I. Need. Nick’s. 🗣SHHHIIIRRTTT!!!! 😫🤦🏾♂️🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I met my childhood best friend because they lined us up alphabetically in school and I was an H and she was an I. I miss being able to make friends because you both love plums :)
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Matteo's mom sounds a bit like Cathy Mitchell? Might explain why he's so obsessed with the infomercials!
It truly brightens my day when I see a new podcast up. I scroll, scroll, scroll and then… ooh, yeah!! Tap play. ❤️🙂
You two are delightful. And as a mom who is missing her kiddo today, I’m glad to hear you both talk to your moms everyday. ❤
"I'm not dead" 😁
Comforting to know that 7th grade is universally awful for everyone on Earth
It must be nice to have mothers who supported their queerness, though I was never bullied... mostly because I was good at pretending to be a robot. Yeah, I was good in school.
I'm convinced that Matteo and I would've been best friends growing up lol. The parallels are insane.
T-ball, riding bikes... I guess I was a more butch kid than I realize 🤣
Omg, we also did that same play in third grade! I can't remember what I was now, probably some vegetable, haha.
You two!!!! Make my day!!!
Ok am I crazy or is Matteo giving the Dad from Inside Out everyone is obsessed with??? 🥵
Absolutely love your podcast!!
Having a rubbish day. Not much is helping lift my mood. But listening to you two talk is helping a little and keeping my mind off things. So thank you :')
😂😂😂OK..I might be drunk but this was THE BEST!! I’m the mom now. This was good.🥰
Matteo are you watching the new continuation of xmen 97?
Love love love your podcast.
Nick I don’t know what it is but I find you so damn funny and entertaining ❤
Omg, the vibrato comments! I feel that so hard. I could talk about people's shit vibrato all day.
MeTV is about to launch a cartoon channel and I saw X-men on their lineup
Nick at the end😂😂😂. Holy shit that brought me to tears. Just the mouth/word failure and his way of pushing through it. LOVE YOU NICK and MATTEO
Great episode, you guys are so funny together
Can totally imagine Matteo and Nick as children, at the sandbox, reading the living hell out of the other kids. "That Barbie lunchbox with THAT Sesame Street backpack? Gurl..."
Is there ever going to be an episode where Matteo doesn’t sing? But I love Nick!
Matteo, you have to watch X-Men '97. It's a direct continuation of the animated series and it is fantastic.
❤❤❤ I love your stories- cat -dog I used to watch with my 4 year old.😂 Love you guys😅
That vibrato is more Ben Platt 😂
Singing that Cynthia song flashed me back about 25 years to my parents singing that to little me and I’m wiggling around dancing
Cynthia she’s a really cool dancer, Cynthia move it to the groove now
Omg literally the dang Cynthia song is always the first thing that comes to mind when 90s cartoons get bought up then the couple lines of reptars
I’d be scared of Nick but also trying to get his attention. Also, he’s giving Regina George but a jock. So, basically Jeff from ‘Bottoms’ 😂
Middle school is the worst! My kid starts this year and I have a lot of anxiety on his behalf… the vibes seemed a little off between Nick and Matteo today but still a fun podcast. You guys are awesome. ❤❤
Love Nick with the Katherine Hepburn On Golden Pond White Blouse ❤
Matteo’s interpretation of women is so hilariously dramatic, like a 1930’s Hollywood movie actress! 🤣😂💁🏻♂️🥰🫶
Courage The Cowardly Dog was easily my favorite childhood show.. No wonder I have problems..
