  • In this video, Stefan Baumann Talks to his student at a workshop about Checkering and also discusses how to mix green and use a limited Pallett. This is a must-see for any artist. In this video, we'll be discussing the Checkering technique, which is a mix of the green and limited pallets. The artist should know how to do this in order to properly mix colors and create a real piece of art.
If you're interested in painting using a limited palette, then this video is for you! In this lesson, we'll discuss the Checkering technique, which is a mix of the green and limited pallets. This technique is used to create a real piece of art, and it's important that the artist knows how to do it in order to create a successful piece of art
Inspiring Millions to paint outdoors This video is about Touch Move and Inspiring. Get a free Book at his website www.StefanBaumann.com.
The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature, and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture - a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color, and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.

This is the third video I have seen on your channel that will very quickly improve my paintings. I suppose some people will think "only third?" But I have been painting for 10 years and I still learn a huge amount from these videos.

After the rabbit skin glue is applied, what is used for the oil prime? In other words, the oil (whatever it is), is it mixed with anything else, or applied in its pure form?

    So..
Basically, paint with CMYK and white... and you can achieve all colors seen in photos, but with greater luminosity.
Black, K, as a convenience color.
Since paint manufacturers don't actually make Cyan and rarely a pure Magenta or Yellow for that matter... we can only try to get close.
I do like cobalt blue, it leans a tiny bit toward magenta, but not enough to matter much as cyan is a color only seen next to star light in deep space.Would be awesome for Windsor Newton to make a pure Cyan... but I imagine that would be a VERY expensive tube of paint. Perhaps I could custom mix it from printer ink cartridges and marble powder!

I have many deep spiritual profectic dreams and I was told in a dream I would live well over 100 years old and I would die with a paint-brush in my hands! The whole dream was profound. It is a mystery as I been so very ill for about 20 years now almost daily and at one point I was near death but God told me in a dream I have a second chance. :)

I said I was confused, because his advice in this video seemed to contradict advice in another video of his.
For some reason you started making racist bigoted comments that have absolutely nothing to do with anything art related.

Doodling is not a painting but an exercise to improve your drawing skills. He is saying that when you paint, be prepared to succeed with every painting. I already have a large supply of cheap canvasses and will keep using them until I prepare a supply of wood panels then donate any remaining canvasses to a school or something.

If you check the dictionary, pallet and palette are variants, but not to be confused with palate.
