Please don’t quote me if I’m wrong and do your own finding before taking this whole heartedly, but I think Allah is so magnificent that there is potentially a Hadith saying that Allah prefers a person to put even their own parents above Him SubhanAllah and Allah knows best. Only exception if the parents order the person to disbelieve. In any case God’s mercy is always evident and present elhamdillah
