    That threaded hole on the bottom is for an optional stand, as I recall. Not drainage, to the best of my knowledge

      Yup. Makes sense. Itll be used to thread the 1/4" screw in order to mount it. I didn't think of that back then

      Did you replace it with the same one or did you upgrade to a type-C?

      @@raidone7413 just the same one, luckily none of the pads were ripped off and the connector was in ok shape so i could just re-solder it on

    7:40 thanks! 2400mah is the info I was looking for. There is a 3600mah battery that Samsung makes, the inr18650-36G, which is the highest capacity single 18650 available AFAIK. I'll be putting one of those in my speaker for an extra 50% run time.

      Cool! I never got to upgrade a battery yet. Do you plan on using a spot welder to connect the wires or is there some with the proper connection out the box?

    • @dizzious
      @dizzious 2 года назад +1

      @@raidone7413 you can just solder them. Soldering isn't the "correct" way to do it, but it works fine and I've soldered wires to the terminals of hundreds of 18650s over the years. The negative side takes a lot of heat to get the solder to wet, so either use a 65+ watt iron or just crank the temperature to the max on smaller irons.
