I once used needle and butchers thread and sewed two extra leg/thigh combos onto a 23 pound turkey I was roasting for the whole family Thanksgiving dinner (I was the hostess that year) a very vocal part of our family was my three nieces and my little sister...all of whom were in the 6 to 10 year old range. Needless to say, each one of the girls wanted a drumstick! The looks on their faces when I brought in the turkey on its platter with 4 drumsticks sticking up in the air was priceless!

The response I get from my brother is pictures of food he orders at restaurants while traveling all over the world, and then my Mom moved in with me (for other main reasons, but she enjoyed my cooking).

I've been making your recipes for my wife the past few weeks and we have both been loving it. When I showed her that you were cooming giant turkey legs she almost cried she was so happy. Every year we go to our state fair so she can get a turkey leg, but not this year because of f*$^ing covid. But now I'm going to make her turkey legs at home. Looks like 2020 isn't a complete Sh*t show.
So for those recepies how much is the temperature of the oven? How much time is Cooked in the oven? Is preheat of the oven needed? 15 minutes per pound? Or 50 minutes per pound?

Young father of 2 crazy ass kids (1 year old girl and 2 year old boy). My girl started a business (Amira's Bowtique) this year, it's doing really well. Well as a result of that, she doesn't have much time to cook anymore so I took at upon myself to learn and you've inspired a lot of the dinners I make them. I usually get the giant turkey legs at Superior grocers in SoCal area, they are a Hispanic retail grocery store , and they usually have them, sold individually. I smoke them.... absolutely amazing!
