This is my fav live album from any Bruce/Maiden era. Such a performance from a band which hadnt broke big time and put 110% into it. (look where it got Bruce!)
One of the best lines in a song ever in Bright lights, 'speeding on the highway bright on the road looking for women for the night gotta shoot my load!! Fucking class that is. Cheers Bruce.
You must have been very drunk. I saw them at Roskilde in 2011, and he was outstanding. Apart from one or two really high notes, he nails every song and sounds just like on the albums. He still sings with as much passion as he always has, and he sounds great, AND he still jumps around all over the stage like a madman! Bruce is still the best heavy metal singer in the world, always has been.
I love the way bruce sang the earth mother chorus, but im so glad he got out of there and found iron maiden, he was wasting his gift from god in that samson band.
Bruce sounding great with a young powerful voice. The singer could not maintain this kind of hard belting and screaming over the first major tours with Maiden, his live pitch and clarity getting worse over time. Leaving maiden for a while then coming back in 1999 he had gained better control of his voice rather than forcing it, usually pulling off brilliant shows. Imagine if he had trained before those damaging early Iron Maiden tours, what a voice he'd still have.
Steve Harris axed Paul, because his voice was wrecked. Then his everlasting tours destroyed Bruce's voice and wrong key destroyed Blaze's voice. Legit.
"I think you only know a few singers?" Don't make assumptions about somebody you nothing about please. I live and breathe heavy metal. But there aren't many singers from after the 80's that impress me, so all the best singers are in their 50's or so and sound much better then any of the newer singers out there. But you're entitled to your opinion I suppose... I refuse to have an argument over the internet.
for me, the best album and tour from bruce... 666 /watch?v=gJQ5BCNSD2E the song i prefer in this show is children of the damned i think this is the best song recorded live
O Saw Maiden um 2022, and Bruce still jump, Run and Sing with a voice that no One else can achive.
OOOohh Earth Mother.. so fucking great.. love this show !!!!
Paul Samson is officially one of my favorite guitar players.

This was Bruce getting prepared to join Maiden.
Maiden would've been looking at Samson thinking "Shit, we're in trouble".

In the end Bruce gave some feedback to technical crew, and for a reason :)
