What a lousy answer
The dummy plug is there to make Computer A (the small NUC) think it has a monitor connected to it,
then he's logging into Computer A from Computer B, using VNC (remote desktop software).
And since he's not planning on using Computer A directory, only from Computer B, no monitor needs to be connected to Computer A.

@@thegabezone cant you just remote connect to the nuc remotely without the dummy plug? or if he does that he will only get access to a cli instead of a gui ?
I am not able to extend the monitor. It duplicates your monitor which I am struggling to get my head around.
