I thoroughly enjoyed this video, I really liked that you did several things to ensure that things were fair between the different types of rooms, for example, not cheesing the dragon room. I personally have never used inscriptions because the hefty cost drove me away, and I’m glad I saw this before I started investing in them. I also really liked the format of this video, it was a welcome change from your usual content and I hope I can see more of this style in the future. I appreciate the time and effort that went behind this and I’ll be patiently waiting for the next! 😄
So far i was able to run only an inscription with +7 living on a mushroom omega room. It was disappointing, totally not worth the price. The instability rolling unmodifiable at very low percentage is a big issue, hopefully it will be addressed at some point, it's still alpha thankfully :D
Really good video! Those are some really helpful comparisons and insights. One comment I thought I should make is that you should consider to run more item rarity. For getting the bounty pearls and gear/trinkets from ornate, this stat matters a lot. This makes it more bearable to get the pearls and more rewarding in the amount of gear you get.
Oh for sure! I wanted to use the video to illustrate the ground 0, base luck you can expect since not everyone runs looting modifiers! But you are absolutely correct that item rarity makes bounty pearls much more common and gear much better
Really great video thanks for that Dejojo! Defiantly worth feeding this back to the devs, the library one feels like its bugged and just needs to up its cascading amount, likewise with the x-mark rooms. I completely agree on the cove, ive run 2 of them (non architect) in the last few days and its an awful experience like you had. Sure the room looks amazing but yeah its a time waster unlike the dragon room.
I don't think the cascading in the library is a bug it seems like more of an oversight, hopefully they'll add flags to certain rooms that buff the effect of cascading
This video was amazing! I definitely appreciate and enjoy the mythbusting style of video. You putting in the time and effort to test all of this for us is amazing! I love your content, and I look forward to some more content like this as well! Perhaps maybe once every week or two You could do some major myth busting/testing of vault mechanics!
Very good analysis, fully agree. I think they should get rid of "unmodifiable" except when adding things like afterlife. Instead, when you exceed 100% instability, you should get a guaranteed curse and a chance for another curse. That can stack... 350% instability would mean adding three curses and a 50/50 chance of adding a fourth. Spend your motes if you want, hehehe. But that change alone I think would be incredible for balance. I also wish they'd change treasure rooms... they feel like just an extremely good POI right now. The digging in sand is weird. My thought is to get rid of the sand, make them 3-4 treasure chests and a dozen very big coin piles that have a greater chance of dropping gold coins and maybe even some platinum. The treasure sand... should be in the omega digsite! There should be anywhere from 2-8 of those in each sand pit, more likely to be found at the bottom. I'd be more inclined to dig if that were the case... as it is, I see those rooms and think "oh good, concrete powder in case the vault altar wants it". You can use the water bucket to get easy concrete from those too. It's disappointing when that's the part that is worthwhile in those rooms!
Digsite is not only annoying, it kills your vault tools. It's sooo not worth it. I feel the same about the mine room a bit; it kills my tool and feel it's not worth it considering tools are so hard to make good. It would be nice if we have jewel to get immortal for cobblestone/stone/sand/etc. in vaults. I'm so glad dragon room was worth it, that's what i observed too in my testing. That's the only inscription i did more than once and i seem to have an easier time getting bounty pearl than you, strangely.
Both the digsite and mineroom pretty much require a good hammering tool. These only take 1 durability damage for mining a large area (make sure to not vein mine though, it will destroy the tool very quickly). Once you have this tool, they become incredible. (Only your magnet will be crying at this point)

Thank you, doing these videos with daily uploads is very tough (yes I did this all in one day vaults included) but I'd definitely like to do more
Hopefully cascading gets changed to better affect rooms/spots where chests spawn in a 1x1
The guaranteed minimum for inscriptions is also a good idea
Yeah, I'd like to see a system that makes cascading more effective the smaller the POI or more effective for Omega and Challenge rooms
Please tag this video to the devs.
Maybe they will change them in the later updates
I'm sure the devs have received plenty of suggestions to!
Petition for a omega wooden room instead of the stupid digsite and a new challenge wooden room
I'd sign it!

Yep! Still in alpha so there are plenty of changes to be made

"Infinite water bucket will be patched in update 9"
Oh great, another funkiller.
Hopefully they'll add something to balance it out, perhaps the skill rework will make stuff like taunt or nova freeze more viable
Thank you so much for this video! It was very insightful. Also ✨wooden chests supremacy ✨
Wooden chests always win
I think iskall needs to see this ngl
haha thank you! I'm sure the dev team are aware of at least some of these issues

I'll see! It's hard to keep up with mythbusting when the updates are so drastic right now
It's sucks when u get unmodifiable at 2% instability
Ugh yeah, it really shouldn't happen
Combining omega inscriptions with the respected catalysts makes them so much better
Absolutely, and they're good for convenience

In this video I was running 0% item rarity which would have helped
Oh the struggle of magnet dura
I got an unmodifiable inscription at 0% like WTH!
Woah! That is awful! The inscriptions do roll fractions of a percent (so like 0.2%) so that's insanely unlucky
Really enjoyed this style of vid could you do now about vault gear and focuses and stuff ?
Like a tutorial or an analysis of them?
@@dejojotheawsome yeh exactly
Awesome video! Thanks a lot for this!
Thanks for watching!
Can you do a video about the best jewels on each tool?
What do you mean by that? Usually the best jewels are the ones that you need, like picking shoveling axing for a paxel or the affinities for chests
is this ep 102?
Nope totally separate from the single player series
W vid idea
Thank you!
(y)
I have no idea what this means lol
first
First indeed!
First?
Ah not quite, second though!
