The stock market can appear as a bewildering cauldron of fake news for new investors. I would advise using a CFP, giving him/her 2/3, and then investing the 1/3 on your own, but only if you have time to track stocks and educate yourself.

Tesla has squandered product development resources on low revenue money losing products: Roadster, Cybertruck, Semi, and now Robotaxi. The affordable Level 5 Autonomy system required for Robotaxi doesn't even exist, lol, nor will it for a decade or longer.

FSD is SAE Level 2 Autonomy ... Robotaxi requires LEVEL 5. Tesla nor anyone else is close to that yet. Musk's Robotaxi announcement is just a stock pumping ploy to delay the slow motion crash that has been occurring for OVER 2 Years now.... and will continue until a legacy automotive OEM valuation is achieved.... ~ $20 to $30 a share.

The biggest hurtle for the Robo Taxi is getting the consumer to trust it. AI vehicle driving has had a lot of bad press, it will take time for this to earn the trust of the consumer.
It is just fundamentally a terrible idea. Planes have triple redundancies and air traffic control and still need two pilots to keep the skies safe. Elon is a notorious corner and cost cutter those things are going to be death traps.

They had not changed much since 2018 maybe some software updates and maybe a different diary and slightly different interior. Do you want them on the road having cameras watching you and recording without your consent. Most of the battery are made from poor countries and child labor. If you buy a Tesla, you are supporting child labor, and draining the natural resources from very poor countries
