    The terms "Dwarf Reticulated Python" and "Super Dwarf Reticulated Python" are used to describe Reticulated pythons of the subspecies Satuprai and Jampeanus, along with half-blood crosses of these subspecies into mainland reticulated pythons to refine the amazing array of genetic morphs within that species, and reduce their size to something generally more suited to a life with humans. Unfortunately, these terms are often used to mislead uneducated buyers into purchasing snakes with insufficient Dwarf and SD influence (lower than 50% Dwarf/SD Blood), or by completely misrepresenting larger growing Retics altogether!
    Pure locality Dwarf and Super Dwarf Retics from the Selayer, Jampea, Kayuadi, Tombolongan, Kalatoa, Madu, and Karompa islands of Indonesia form a group represented by two unique subspecies of Reticulated python that have actually adapted to live in harsh environments with their diminutive size- packing all the intelligence, confidence, and incredibly beautiful color and pattern of the world's longest snake into a tiny little package, some being even as small as corn snakes! Unfortunately, they are still quite rare in captivity, and difficult to find except through dedicated breeders.
    At Reach Out Reptiles we dedicate ourselves completely to Dwarf and Super Dwarf Reticulated pythons like no one else in the world! We want everyone to be able to learn about this little known and under-appreciated, misunderstood, and highly misrepresented group of animals in a simple, straightforward way. Stay awhile, and connect with us, and with the WILD in you that really makes you HUMAN!

    I really thought I was more of a carpet python or colubrid person but since I have been watching your videos you are starting to change my mind. those morphs and especially the rarer pure locality ones are so cool. I wish korompa were readily available. Maybe in the future. I definitely want some updates on these to see how they look when they are larger

      I have noticed that our anery has better iridescence than the het. Is this usual and how does the phantom affect that. Are there other morphs that seem to enhance iridescence?

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  4 года назад +1

      @@AaronHendricks79 In general, darker animals show off iridescence best, but Anerys have a depth of color tone that really expresses it well- have you noticed that on the Anery it reflects mainly blue and green, not so much the reds and oranges of the normal? Pretty neat. ;). Call me this week!
