I have one of those on each one of my cameras and love the versatility, comfort and how practical they are. Great review Peter. Have a great one my friend.
I’m with you there Peter, I have a couple of the PD straps of slightly different widths, I also use their wrist straps and love that they are all interchangeable so quickly via their connection system. My “genuine - free advertising or steal-me” straps are still in their original plastic bags! I’ve made small modifications to my wrist straps to stop them closing quite so tightly around my wrist which makes them impossible to remove one handed - but thats just me and I’m probably defeating a deliberate design feature 😀
Hey mate. I haven’t got a wrist strap but might buy one down the track for a smaller body. It’s cool that you managed to customise it for your needs & as long as it works the way you want it, why not?!😀😀 Have a great rest of the week!
@@peterviragphoto Hi, I used the wrist straps on my old 5d4 (tank 😀) and use them now on the R5 and R7 so I wouldn’t worry about weight although your 1Dx might be pushing it. Its very rare I have the camera just “hanging” on the strap anyway for me its just there in case the camera slips or is knocked out of my hand but really mostly just to make life for thieves that much more difficult. I feel, could just be me and paranoia, that walking around busy places just holding the camera by its grip + the wrist strap at my side (especially with something smaller and less obvious that the white canon zooms) is a little more “stealth” than the neck strap. 😎
I agree with all you say in this video. I got my first one as a stand in when I accidentally left my previous system at home when I was out on a birding shoot - I stopped by the nearest camera store and purchased one of these - and never ever used my previous system again! In fact, I soon purchased a second strap for my other camera body. One of the features I love is that when I use the 200-600mm lens it's quick and easy to move the strap from the camera body to the lens lugs - even one-handed as you point out.
I am glad I came across your video, I also own the summit edition and they no longer produce the color with the new straps. I also have the issue that the rubber padding has worn off and I was thinking of warranty replacement, but since rest of the strap functions perfectly, I will remove the rubber padding to see how it functions. Thanks for the tip :)
Awesome mate! Here is the slide: peak-design.pxf.io/anKg4q & the slide lite ( slightly smaller ) : peak-design.pxf.io/JzqnWe Have a great rest of the week Dave! Cheers
@@peterviragphoto I use it on my backpack in conjunction with their strap while cycling, but I've also been wanting to mount one on my center console in my truck, rather than just laying the camera in the passenger seat or looping the strap around the headrest. Cheers!
I have a PD strap which works well except the steel spring clips have rusted on mine after contact with salt water (I shoot a lot at beaches and estuaries). Sadly these clips aren't replaceable either
Hey Noel. Thanks for dropping by. So sorry to hear about that. Have you tried contacting them? Maybe they would replace it as they have a lifetime warranty. Might be worth a try. Have a great rest of the week!

Thank you! Was looking for a proper strap to my 1DX mark ii and this seems perfect :)
Thanks for your feedback! Enjoy:-)

metal buckle gives constant harms (scratches) onto body/lenses .. I think this brand, does not deserve so much praise
Good review Peter. Looks to have served you well. Like those quick release anchor points. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🍕🙏
Thanks mate! I like the anchor link system too. Pizzzzzaaaa time:p

The Peak Design Slide Camera Strap is a good quality product and very famous. Thanks for the video. You got 1 LIKE from me.
Thanks Cheiko! I love the build quality too!
@@peterviragphoto It's the best!!!
What a coincidence,I bought one yesterday cheers.
Hey Wayne, that’s great! Hope you like it! Have a great day:)
Nice vid thanks! Subbed.
Thanks for the sub! Have a great weekend Chris!
Perfect mate
Exactly what I need - I have an original Nikon strap and although it’s been brilliant it is starting to fray now.
Will check it out.

Nice review Peter. I have the capture clip and PD tripod. Been contemplating and hearing great things about the strap.
That’s awesome! I’m sure you like them both. How is the capture clip?
@@peterviragphoto I love the CC, which is probably why I didn’t buy the straps anymore as I’m always carrying my camera bag anyway 😁
I love their strap, and the capture plate as well.
Hey Taylor. Me too although I haven’t used the capture clip yet but should be cool. Thanks for dropping by.Have a great weekend!:)

That sounds like a great idea buddy!😀👍👍👍
I have two of these bad boys. They are amazing. Also have the summit edition
Hey buddy! That’s awesome!😀
Peak Design has a big design flaw. In my cuff camera wrist, the metal buckle gives harm to my Canon R10 body.
Never used the cuff so can’t comment but you should send them your feedback!
Nice review Péter.
Thanks magpie whisperer:))
Very nice
Thx mate!
