It's just a 3/4 beat (1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3), and you change whether or not you hit A on the 3 or not. So it shifts between 1, 2, rest, 1, 2, rest (normal rhythm) and 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 ("fast" rhythm). So hopefully someone gets some help out of that.
