This concert was held at the NHK Hall. I'm not sure how many people it holds. Their most epic concerts were at the Tokyo Dome which holds 55,000 people. They sold the Dome out a record 18 times.
Dahlia, Week end, rusty nail, Standing sex, Sadistic Desire, Silent Jealousy, Blue Blood, Art Of Life, Miscast, Stab me in the back, Celeberation, Scars, Alive (studio), Vanishing love, I'll Kill you I can keep going aha
I love this version, but the acoustic version of Rose Of Pain is still my favorite one. It's more sweet and emotional. Trust me, when it comes to ballads, X-Japan are simply the best. I would recommend Endless Rain, Tears, Forever Love. You won't regret it. These songs changed my life.
Yoshiki the drummer also writes all the songs and is the pianist (although in this song he obviously isn't playing piano as they have an orchestra and organ player) Talented guy. If you like ballads "Endless Rain" at the last live is a really nice song. If your looking for something thrashy "Silent Jealousy" live is a great one that I haven't seen many people react to. Art of Life is also amazing but is 30 mins long so yeah, maybe that one should come later. Cool video
About the subtitles there are 2 explanations..1 the band does songs in English and Japanese to allow people from both places to enjoy it...2 I was told when learning Japanese in high-school that there are some words in Japanese that have no English translation
15:50 It was right in the middle of the live. They always end their concerts with a ballad and rarely start them with longer songs minus Silent Jealousy.
Next song by them to react can only be one: "Art of life". Actually, it is much more than a song, it's a life changing experience. A 30 minute piece composed by Yoshiki (the drummer/pianist) during his recovery process from a mental collapse he had due to overwork, stress and pressure. All the steps of his rehabilitation are deeply entangled in the song, from calmness and routine to complete madness and disturbance. "Such a long song, including so many different music styles, that’s not commonplace. Then what? A symphony? A jazz piece? A classical composition? Most likely a mix of the three. Inspired by Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony, Art of Life is a piece unique of its kind, a work I would like to call a symphonic poem with neo-romantic notes. Even though it’s a complex work, because of its length and particularities, Art of Life is definitely the song that made X Japan go down in history, and allowed Yoshiki to reach the kind of universality he thrived for."
I think fans always say to listen to AoL way too fast for new comers. It is a masterpiece but not the easiest song to swallow. I think he should get more used to their various styles before, tbh.
@@mielthesquid6536 I can agree with you on that. The problem is most reactors would never do a X-Japan "journey", because it doesn't bring as much engagement as Nightwish or Babymetal for instance. That's why I suggest it kinda early, before they move on to other bands.
The song was written in his early 20s. Apparently the song is strongly associated with his experience when he was 10 ys old which is the root of his musician’s life.
This is the version with Japanese and traditional Chinese subtitles. Rose of pain is one of the songs that can give a more insightful picture of what X Japan is. Great reaction.
The look they had was known as "visual kei" in Japan. I'm not sure it was inspired by American "hair metal", it was kind of its own thing in Japan, the costumes were also a big part of it. They apparently inspired a whole wave of similar looking bands. They looked even wilder before this, all five had massive crazy hair.
Yeesssss brother. It's a Friday night here in Australia, and I needed to get some X Japan fill...nothing better than watching someone hear their brilliance for the first time
About translate the top is Chinese and the bottom is japanese ,when you saw a English it is sang in English because all of Xjapan song mix with English lyrics
this was the prequel to the 30 minute art of life. :) my fave version is the acoustic though, so pure, so amazing, hide playing spanish guitar. man, that guy was so darn talented. :(
thanks for react about this song this song is made by Elizabeth Bathory, she is Hugurian noblewoman who is said killed lots of girls and took a bath by their blood of them greeting from japan
This song is about Japanese ghost story, so it is a little gory imo. However I really like this song and all the version that it exist, each version are special however my favourite would be 92 Tokyo Dome version. The acoustic version also nice and some old Japanese legend roller skating midori ito also did use this song to accompany her performance.
@@brinschanta2284 Absolutely! This song is about Erzsébet Báthory, the Hungarian "Blood Countess" who would have young maidens killed, and then she would bathe in their blood so as to stay forever young.
no not true. This song is about a Hungarian noblewoman, Lady Bathory, who was said to drink the blood of young girls to say youthful. Yoshiki said this in interviews and I had to chance to talk to him after the Vienna screening of We Are X and he confirmed this to me there as well.

Blue Blood album is a masterpiece! Rose of Pain is one of my favorite.

Crucify My Love, Tears and Unfinished are their best ballad
I personally love this more bc of the instruments and orchestra
X JAPANのRose of painの中でも、X with orchestra のこのRoseof painが特に最高。小学生の時擦り切れるほど観ました。海外の方に見て頂けるの嬉しいです。

This would have been an awesome show to be at!!
YOSHIKI(drum&piano) creates a Golden Globe Award theme. A unique genius that fuses metal and classical music at a high level.
Awesome performance 🥰

About the subtitles: the upper subtitles are in Chinese (translation) and lower subtitles are the lyrics of the song - in English and Japanese
Yeah it's actually Hair Metal lol. I remember one of them said that they took hours to make hairs up and no time left for rehearsals on each live.
15:50 It was right in the middle of the live. They always end their concerts with a ballad and rarely start them with longer songs minus Silent Jealousy.
X-Japan. From Tucson AZ. My favorite band EVER. Hey Texan.....
The legend

Although this song is a bit dark in the early days of X JAPAN, it is also one of my favorite songs. The art of life is also my favorite song.
Yeesssss brother. It's a Friday night here in Australia, and I needed to get some X Japan fill...nothing better than watching someone hear their brilliance for the first time
And the drummer Yoshiki is the one who writes ALL the instruments/lyrics too
Not every song. But most of them.
not every song, anf guitar solos were still written by Hide
Check out art of life by X-Japan it's incredible
We are X. Mantap!

No....not at all.
This song is about " Elizabeth Báthory " .
you can see in the lyric like " she will kill to make her self more beautiful "

@@Xia-hu It even says so in the liner notes of the album Blue Blood: "the song is about a murderous noble woman in Europe, 400 years ago".
It's japanese song with some part of English line . If you want full English song try Art of life , Alive , Orgasm , unfinished
I think there songs are japanese lyrics mix with some english lyrics so its not really full english song.
Texas ✨👍✨ X JAPAN song s ✨👍👍✨
