In 2010, the opening of Hotel Fasano Punta del Este in Uruguay marked the Fasano brand's international expansion. With an award-winning architectural project conceived by Isay Weinfeld, which effortlessly interacts with the breathtaking natural landscape, the first Fasano outside of Brazil is widely known as one of the world's most beautiful resorts. Overlooking the Maldonado River, the property occupies a preserved area of 490 hectares in the heart of La Barra. After undergoing an expansion project, the hotel unveiled a new element: Locanda Fasano. Designed by Carolina Proto and located next to the iconic Fasano Restaurant, Locanda Fasano comprises 10 new apartments and suites, adding 20 bungalows on the ground.
Dining - In its first international outpost, Fasano brings a century of culinary tradition and experience to Punta del Este. With a focus on regional Italian cuisine, the Fasano Restaurant opens its doors for dinner. Nestled above a rocky hill, on one of the country's highest peaks, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Uruguayan countryside and the Maldonado river. Fasano opens its doors for dinner, and during the peak season is opened daily. And also unites the natural beauty of Las Piedras with the refined gastronomy of the Fasano family. "Restaurant Las Piedras" - The informal ambiance of Las Piedras restaurant is Rogério Fasano's interpretation of an authentic Italian trattoria. A collection of rare books composed of first and limited editions line the walls. On Sundays, in addition to the a la carte menu, a salad and antipasto buffet is offered at lunchtime.
