I wouldn’t say LSU had a chance to steal the series. They had a sweep in their grasp and completely gave it away with subpar catching and awful hitting on Sunday. Hess had his best game of his career because he faced an offense that has been completely inept in game 3 all season.

i thought the catcher position was going to be a strength for the team, defensively. unfortunately, it’s been the opposite.
So glad this team won title last season. Softens the blow of a $hit season.
Larson’s doing great in RF as a Freshman. So let’s move him to DH and disrupt his groove. Bingham is one of the best hitters, so let’s keep Kling in. Travinski hits best when he catches 1-2 games a week. So let’s never catch him then bench him. Every move Jay makes is dumb

This is absurd. The pitching has carried the team for weeks now. Hitting is absolutely pathetic this year. They average less than 4 runs on Sunday in SEC play which is completely unacceptable
@@johnnythropscaut7920 17 sec loses doesn’t seem to be much to carry. Some of the starters are good but the bull pen has given up a lot of walks, home runs, wild pitches. No lead was big enough. Wait till next year.
@@slotfreak7094 and LSU would have far more losses without the pitching. The overall pitching stats are very similar to last year. The difference is pathetic hitting this season
I mean Jay Johnson has not developed the players properly. I’m sorry people get mad for saying he looked up into this pain, but I think he did because you can point to his records and Arizona but he’s a hell of a recruiter. I will give him that, but he cannot develop the players With a team like LSU and I get it we have players that are just starting just getting started. Bye you should never be in a position like LSU where you’re struggling like this you are supposed to be the powerhouse of college baseball and this is the worst season in SEC playin this teams and if he goes this way again next year, were you start out like this and you miss postseason and you barely make it to Hoover he will be fired
LSU lost series to MS State and Auburn the same 2 weekends that Aggy has lost to LSU and Ole Miss this year. To say LSU broke Aggy is severely premature

This is a position that LSU baseball should never be in our bullpen has never been good under Jay Johnson. You’ve only gone three years and only two years. Have you had two actual starters in the rotation you had the 2023 season with Paul andTy and you’ve had the 2024 season with Gage and Luke. You never had a starter that has been permanent for Sunday’s . This is a bad faulty record says what you are and I don’t care what anyone says I have here. I have tried to defend Jake, but when it comes to development, this team has players like Paxton who have, not progressed

Brady catching was a HUGE mistake. Pass ball cost run and he put two more in scoring position by NOT blocking a ball. Both runs scored..You have to start Milazzo when you are a hitting challenged team….can’t give free bases and runs cause you don’t catch/block pitches
I think you need to determine what's a wild pitch and, what a pass ball is. Only the latter is the catcher's responsibility. Our pitchers throw way too many balls into the ground.
The Tigers will have to do a heck of a lot of work in Hoover! We are not going to sweep Ole Miss next weekend. The best realistic outcome would be to win 2 out of 3 games. That'll put the Tigers at 13 SEC wins, one short of fourteen.

Jay is horrible. He lucked up last year to get a diamond in Skeenes and have the best pitching coach in the country. Jay Johnson is the Les Miles of college baseball

I agree it is not a depleted team. You have Jared Jones who has had SEC play. He played all the way up until Georgia last year which was our second last team and SEC played played Paxton most of SEC play last year and he has regressed and Paxton was our highest recruit two years ago. None of our recruits this year except for phylum and Larson have been the pain is worse this year than it was last year. He’s not developing players the way they need to be developed. If you have the talent, you should be able to develop a big and a players production in their sophomore year compared to freshman and none of them have done is your biggest one that has progress for freshman sophomore but he still strikes out to much
I’ll say it again. Without guys like Gordon, lsu doesn’t win a natty last year. Jay is a piss poor coach. He relied on Gordon for the NIL money to get Tommy, keep Dylan, and get Paul. Notice he never won Jack before NIL? Why is that? Jay is a terrible coach.

You’re clueless abt baseball if you think jay is a terrible coach. He’s definitely one of the best coaches in baseball. Sometimes losing happens. Lost majority of the players from last season. And the players that returned haven’t had the best season. That happens in baseball. This isn’t football
