- Tennessee Baseball and LSU Baseball played the first game of their 3 game series in the 2023 College Baseball Season.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I went to elementary school with Paul. Amazing guy and a fierce competitor. Was always miles above everyone else. Undeniable talent! No doubt he’ll not only play in the MLB, but almost undoubtedly be a star. Just a guy who excels in pretty much everything he does, and a good person too. I hope he’s excited cause he has one hell of a future waiting for him, and he deserves it too. Hitting 102 at 20 holy shit!!!
I hope the best for him. Organization can ruin talent. The Rockies drafted Dollander and with the Rockies resume with pitcing I’d run the other way if I were him.

Drove from Knoxville for this series and I'm glad I did. TV cameras do not do the crowd noise justice: it was LOUD when LSU would do something good. Happy to salvage Game 3 and go home with a split GB🍊

The fact that college athletes are now ripping 100+ mph fastballs like it’s 90 is insane and speaks to the skill edge now. Shit, 5 years ago if that, a pitcher throwing 95+ was pretty feared and hard to tag up. Now, you better fuckin locate with 99 or you’re getting shit on that night buddy.
Yeah speed is not King, anybody can be touched...especially the 2nd and 3rd time through the order. A pitcher always needs to locate.

ITS AMAZING TO ME HOW THESE COLLEGE KIDS HIT 96-100MPH FASTBALLS LIKE ITS NO BIG DEAL... BACK WHEN I PLAYED COLLEGE BALL IN 94'-97' DAMN IF THEY THREW 90+ MPH IT WAS A PROBLEM FOR ALOT OF OUR HITTERS... I GUESS 30 YEARS FROM NOW PITCHERS WILL BE PUMPING 110-115MPH FASTBALLS AND STILL GETTING HIT...

Our coach has class and is teaching young men the right way to play the game. He knows this was an emotionally charged game and he didn’t want Crews to do anything in the heat of the moment that would or could possibly have hurt his reputation. I actually respect the hell out of Jay Johnson for doing that

Only problem on that game was some of the SEC umpires cause the batters umpire was calling strikes when they’re obviously balls and LSU had the tag at 2nd and they called the Tennessee player safe, 2nd baseman’s foot was on the bag

catchers weren’t “moving” with the ball towards late in the game. on both teams. that’s why all those dropped balls happened. their feet and body stayed glued , you gotta be a magnet 14:26

Would not say fell apart. That was a hell of a good bases clearing hit into rcf by the lsu batter. Vols barely missed hitting 3 home runs that were caught on the warning track.

I really hate this trend where the umpire is yelling at the player to run after hitting a big time homerun that gets the team/fans pumped, i'm seeing that too much ...when are they going to understand that not a soul is there to watch them umpire, stop attempting to suck the joy out of the game, it's not your job to yell at a player to run.
Umps are instructed to keep the game in check. Far too many "gawkers" provoke potential fights or retaliation with beanballs for showmanship after hitting a dinger. It's not the WWE. Hit the ball, run the bases and then sit down. It's the final score that counts, not the hockey fight in between innings.

Your announcers should STOP promulgating his thoughts on who shoulda done what and stick to announcing. THAT is their job…NOT telling the audience what he wishes or wants to happen. We’re here to watch the game and the majority of us, I would say, don’t really care about his personal desires/feelings, etc. Go home and tell your wife…maybe she’ll care, but in the meantime ANNOUNCE.
