And thank you for the like you are so important to me because my dad is 91 I am doing everything in my power to extend his life, now I am learning to biohack his genes for longevity, any help is greatly appreciated. I ask God please guide and bless you 🙏
Wooo cell competition. Haven't seen it in a while, lovely niche, I wrote my undergrad thesis on it with Alan Lowe at UCL. Memories damn. Nice recap tho covers all the right basis
Your channel has the most informative and succinct videos for understanding complex biology on RUclips, congrats! How do you keep up with all the latest science in your field and how did you start creating biology content?
Yes, my understanding would be that, all senescent cells are unfit, but not all unfit cells are senescent. It's comparative, an unfit cell may be viable and replicating, just less fit than it's neighbour e.g the super-fit Myc example
" complete physical, mental, and and social wellbeing " : which is a bit of an ask. Missing financial and metabolic.... The quest remains unclear Don't forget the exosomes
People used to live much longer. There are many reasons we don’t live as long. One reason is nutrition and another is genetic degradation. Mutations are the reason we die. When our genome is no longer viable, apoptosis sets in. You have to keep from having mutations if you want to live longer.
I think this is a really interesting topic - if you do, then i've put some good paper/review links in the description for extra reading.

Hi! Do you have a video going over how to write a research proposal? There are a lot online but you’re the best guide!
I've never written a research proposal!!
@@TheSheekeyScienceShow I must’ve assumed given your knowledge and expertise. Your videos on bio-electricity have inspired an idea! T
Is there a difference between unfit and senescent cells?

Did these ideas come from thinking about the recent 'rate of somatic cell mutations in mammals' paper?
what about a competition on the sheep placenta
Why the mid-roll ads? Ads at beginning or end are bad enough.
