The big iron tone you’re getting sounds a lot like our cannon balls and artillery We are digging.. most of them give a VDI of between 70s and 80s with an iron buzz off the edges. I’ve learned to dig every one of those from now on.😂 but it’s a different type of hunting most of the time we’re not hunting old home sites. We are hunting Squamish sites or battle areas. Not a whole lot of big iron to deal with except the occasional plow point.
The iron you guys encounter is off the chart compared to here , Ten years detecting fields and beach and I don't recall digging a single nail , iron here tends to be old gates , tractor parts etc which are usually far enough apart , I guess we didn't have those wooden houses which somewhat helps our plight of today .
Hey there Calabash, I see you found my site! Lol. So your saying the ol simplex sniffed it out pretty good? 😁 For the record watching your videos has helped me quite a bit 😅✌️
I'm sure there's more out there.... Like Calabash mentioned wet ground would help. I went Sunday after that little bit of rain and found a 1903 v nickel.... Those were the fresh holes 😅. Block I, Union staff officer and Union General Service button did come out of there....
@@AdventureNC that ground was amazing, very soft sand. I could imagine the conditions of the relics. That nail was huge & that little hammer was my favorite find. Found about 9 nonferrous targets. Congratulations keep digging 🕶👍
My ears are not as acute and not as trained as yours. It would be very helpful if you show the iron tone (10.20) and a similar non-ferrous tone back=to=back. This would allow me to keep playing that section, so hopefully I can tell the difference.
Sorry Calabash.. me and my buddy been hitting that spot for a while.. those dig holes are mine and my friend.😂😅
I told Johnny it was your work!
@@calabashdiggeradventures .. Yup lol.. Hey that's how it goes..

Thanks for stopping the video and explaining the sounds👍
Would beach sensitive work on your sandy soil ?
HMM the unmasking is better on the land programs but yes it would work..
Definitely had your work cut out for you but they still missed some non-ferrous targets - Model T points good video.

Can't get it all.. it was me and my buddy with all the dig holes.. lol
@@DetectorMoe 😂
CD will you get new Nokta Accupoint Nana (Bannana)? It has some game changer feature like seeing iron and giving different sound.
