You guys should be proud of the characters you have created I've seen the concept designs in the art of DAI and how you went from basic concept drawings to these in depth characters who invoke such emotions from us as players is remarkable you should all be proud of this masterpiece you've created :)
Bioware please come back to your gaming old school rule RPG roots.. i realized this after playing three DA:I characters with the last char. on nightmare difficulty then playing back to DA: Origins
Loving it.. You all did AMAZING with this game. I've played enough RPGs to recognize one of the greatest of all time when I see it. DA:I is currently my favorite, and it's up there in my heart with the most legendary and iconic RPG's, like Crono Trigger, SW:KOTOR, FF7, others... Ya'll are awesome.
To all you guys at Bioware you should all be proud of the characters you have created you've created a marvellous and wide variety cast of characters they look, sound and are amazing you should all be extremely proud of yourselves for creating all these brilliant characters and the world they exist in well done guys.
@@JD-Media I think I hadn't played Witcher 3 when I made this comment. It definitely became one of my favorites. I'd say Cyberpunk is my favorite game of all time now.
The rumour is that the next dlc will be about Solas and the qunari. I'm really excited about this because my inquisitor is a male hornless qunari and it would interesting how this will play out. Also I believe you get to determine what happens to the inquisition. But as I mentioned it's just rumour.
First off I would like to say I love inquisition and consider the dragon age series my favorite of all time, but it needs more hair options. I'm not saying over the top hair styles but just like braids for females and more hair like cullen and Alistair have in inquisition (short but not bald). facial hair options I feel could be improved with a separate stubble slider and more "well groomed" options for our slightly less macho man characters.
Man I was hoping for some interviews with the actual concept artists! I mean its cool we got some writers involved in this vid. But seriously I would have appreciated the words more if it came out of the mouths of the actual designers!
I'd Love to hear more om the subjekt. Must og what i think make Dragon age such a great and exciting game is the characters you get to see and interact with. To hear and learn more about how they are developed and created is just great, and gives a new perspektive to the work behind the game. (and for those, wishing to become consept artists or something similer ourselfs, it great to get a glimps of hos it works)
I suppose many gamers have different preferences, but characters and character development is my top priority in games I play so that's why Inquisition really works well for me. Inquisition does have a good story with good twists as well as fun gameplay so I'd say it's a well-rounded game. But yes, the variety and depth of characters has a large part.
As long as the two (story & characters, I'm not talking about gameplay) complement each other it's great. The moment developers put too much in to the cast and two little in to the story... well... In BioWare case: - great story -> Baldur's Gate 2. With limitation of 5 characters with you, party was always great. You had a crew of people who fallowed you, had personality and arcs. Even if the game has a lot of characters. - great characters -> Mass Effect 2. So many characters I felt like leading a legion not a team. No story to be honest - just go and kill the bad guys.
There was a much greater emphasis on building the characters up then keeping the narrative strong imo. When you play the game the narrative is disjointed from the gameplay and you do one story mission, then you go run around doing minless BS for 5 levels, another story mission and then run around not doing the story again etc. I wish they strengthened their overall narrative so that I wouldn't have gotten bored with the game and stopped exploring to see more story :(.
Wunlee Buxton Hehe I just bought "power" from this merchant in Skyhold so I could do all the main missions (and the inner circle ones) without being forced to grind for power; once I realized that all the sidequests were BS
Yep. BW is known for their stories and characters. Hope you guys won't slip too much from that, like you did with tactics, camera, inventory... whole pc players actually in inquisition.
Idk, I find controls pretty comfortable in PC, actually in this game I use more of keyboard, than in others, where I would use my mouse for everything =)) Now that it is occupied for attack, I've got the reason to learn other controls.
Controls are one things, over simplification in tactics, lousy inventory, akward tac-cam and not be able to add your own skillpoints is other. Nevertheless, I do love my inquisition exp. Story, characters are still lovable. Plus the graphics are stunning. Shame that the game could still be better in few simple things. Maybe in future and with mods..
Matti Jouhkimo Not sure, what the deal with inventory, it seems pretty fine o.o Plus they added extra-storage so yeeey. Didn't understand about the skillpoints too >.< As for tactics - here I won't argue simply because I am not a pro in that and can't really judge c: Sure it would be nice to move cam easy with mouse in tactics.
Give us Dragon age origins remake or origins 2. Awakening doesn't count as a 2. It doesn't have to be an exact remake but something built up story wise as origins and the same character interaction as origins. I mean you can bearly interact with anyone in your party exept when you are in heaven or skyhold. And what happened to the thing about when you capture a keep, it could be attacked by the enemies that you took it from. Inqusition is an amazing game in the dragon age franchise. But origins had a better story and interactions with all charachters even if it doesnt look as good in graphics. But gameplay and a good experience would be more important than just graphics and customisation right.
@dragonage Dear Bioware, after 12 plus hours into my buggy, laggy, & practically broken & unfinished Xbox 360 port of Dragon Age Inquisiton. My save file is now corrupt for whatever reason. Thank you, for putting little time, & effort into making sure this game was ready to ship & be at least somewhat tolerable to play. Sincerly, a waste of my time & money...
The only big issue I have with this game's story is that our Gray Warden has no role in the game at all and the excuse given is lazy. The Warden would never have abandoned the Wardens to go find a cure for a forced plot sickness.
if you don't have anything to say about dlc then don't say anything.... or do lore vids i don't need to know about what work you put in we all know it was a great game
I appreciate the hard work of bio ware with the art and character design. My criticism would be the drastic changes to the looks of established characters, most notably Cassandra - she doesn't even look close to the character in DA2! Her new design just bothered me - her eyebrows looked horrible and slanted inward into her nose, and overall much more sharp chin, plus the hair style just did not work. I see what you were going for but when you change too much it takes away from the illusion that this is even the same person and the continuity is broken. Plus Leliana looks too different as well - I know it's 10 years later but what happened to her teeth? At least Varric, Morrigan, and Cullen looked similar from before.
Inquisition was ace, shame the game was FULL of bugs, in-fact the most bugged game i've ever played! which is a shame because its so well thought out, I stopped playing after the 6th time i restarted due to bugs/crashes/corrupted data because I was scared of what it was doing to my playstation. ALL this interview SHIT means fuck all when your talking about a game they have NOT FIXED! ps they also made it soo easy, its like a child's game. EA are losing points in England...hard.
How teamwork and iteration created the characters of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The guy who voices the Verchiel guy needs to do a future companion. So talented.

Do you now think Witcher 3 is better?

Love your characters guys! You obviously put loads of time and effort into them.
Stop talking about fucking Iron Bull! You've made so many other amazing characters and they're all being overshadowed by this freaking Qunari!
+SURPRISE! !!!!! He is freakin' funny tho.
I've played the game now. They were right to focus on that badass :P
Lol. You're awesome for humbling yourself. And I'm not being sarcastic. Much love, fam.
I spotted a poster of NWN Shadows of Undrentide! Gotta love classics.

Have not played Inquisition yet. But I fear gradually the characters is overshadowing the story department in BioWare.

PC? Let me tell you, the PS4 controls are awkward in the menus and tactical camera.
CottonPanzer Really? Don't own PS4, but that's grim news indeed. Then it's incompetence, not just going consoles first.
