Thanks. I often hold my breath for 10 to 15 seconds every 5 minutes or so during the fast part of my morning walk (I walk flat out for about 200 meters during each of 4 quarter mile laps). Using my finger SpO2 I can see the drop in O2 levels to around 90 percent and also a significant increase in heart rate by the end of breath hold. Also occasionally do morning breathing exercises where I lower my Sp02 to high 60 to low 70 percent range by end of three or four rounds. By the end of my breathing routine my heat rate drops to about 50 bpm at rest.
Omega 3 . I have been taking 3 to 5 grams a day for years. I was a test subject years ago and the experimental dose was 5 g. I could not believe how my life changed for the better , so I never stopped taking the dose .
As DHA from algae or fish or as in omega 3 from sacha inchi or flax seed oil? I noticed my nails and hair got my stronger taking three tablespoons of sacha
Yes , you get it . Qysters, blue green algie, seaweed , meth blue and blue green algie are also part of my routine. Stay healthy, live long ! Good luck.
@@eugeniebreida1583 I don't recommend anything to anyone ,sorry. I will say this though, I'm on an extremely strict workout schedule ad longevrty protocol and have been piant based for many years . My routine includes daly workout sessions , many, many supplements and quarterly biomarker che KS and blood draws. Wish you the best ,good luck. Ps. Breath deep and slow and learn to hold your breath . ( box breath
the AMPK detector must detect low ATP and high AMP. but there are mechanisms connected to dropping pH levels as well. lactate is a mechanism to buffer pH levels and lactate can be combined with phenylalanine to a molecule LacPhe that has hormonal effects (hunger goes down, .....)
Yes, the lactate is very important. Yes, it had a bad reputation. Lactate suggests hypoxia, because it means your body doesn't have enough oxygen so it has to burn glucose via glycolysis = which leads to lactate production.
Big question: Most experts recommend to intake protein during the first 2 hours after resistent exercise to provide the muscles the needed repair materials. BUT protein activate mTOR and stop autophagy. So, what is better: Intake protein for muscle growth or let the autophagy continue?
Of course! Actually intense swimming holding one's breath followed by a round of bhastrika (to bring O2 levels back up) should get you the same results.
Using Blood Restriction Bands during short and less heavy exercise are based on the same hypoxia-effect? And the Horse Stance and that kind of isometric exercises?
That's a good question. With hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), the situation is a bit more complex. It provides an excess of oxygen, which is beneficial for rejuvenation (this is why I chose it for my wife's treatment), but it also creates a state of perceived hypoxia when the oxygen is reduced, as explained by Sinclair in this video. I'm planning a three-month experiment with HBOT, where I will test various aging markers both before and after the treatment period.
Hmmm... interesting theory. If true, then why do professional athletes age so poorly. Case in point, professional soccer players who run intensively throughout their careers. Most of them look horrible even at the age of 50
They are not doing intervals later in life, not as a player. Soccer is more of a chronic cardio workout versus an acute cardio workout like sprinters perform.
And how do you explain the residents of the Blue Zones who don't exercise extremely but only walk regularly and yet... live to 100 years and more? Kindly explain.
They also do not know back then what "autophagy is" to be blunt about it. And yet, walking does much good to people if not best. Shane O'mara could explain it further.
Diet is more important than exercise for longevity. Anyhow, they don't live extremely long on average, they have outliers that may posses genetic advantages. That's the problem with association studies. The blue zones are association - not cause.
I bet you can achieve similar results doing vigorous pranayamas which can control CO2 and Oxygen levels. No way in hell will I spend an minute, much less an hour, in one of those closed-in foul air cycling rooms.

On poor sleep, which I suffer from, I also have noticed the benefit of exercising in the morning. It really helps.
Hi Peter than I'm like you, with the sleep issue :)
Love your channel, straight to the point with no fluff and filler.
Excellent. LOVE Dr. Rhonda!
Great video again! I love it! Thank you so much!
Excellent, I was looking for those details on exercise outophagy.
Thank you Samuel. Happy shopping week 😀

Yes, learning to hold your breath comfortable for several minutes or longer is the essence of pranayama.

Our body's adapt to long slow jogging. Short term high intensity then rest . Listen to Dr. Ronda.
thanks, great collection of information.
So sleep apnea should be good, right? I'm holding my breath off and on all night
funny guy
Yes i had the same question, by their logic, it should help the brain secrete hgh and autophagy
@@Notme-tq4xswhat funny guy fool it's a legit question
wouldn't intensity raise blood sugar levels immediately after workout?
so freediving on breathhold which induces a level of oxygen starvation to the body also stimulates autophagy?
Of course! Actually intense swimming holding one's breath followed by a round of bhastrika (to bring O2 levels back up) should get you the same results.
3 to 4 min. Bursts. Ronda Patrick knows . All out 3min.
Exercise triggers a certain type of autophagy mainly in the muscles? Fasting over 84 hours triggers the most complete whole body cleansing?
Using Blood Restriction Bands during short and less heavy exercise are based on the same hypoxia-effect? And the Horse Stance and that kind of isometric exercises?
I wonder if blood sugar spikes matter or average values throughout? what do the studies show?
Both matter: spike and average. Spikes seem more detrimental, as the spike insulin and leptin.
Doesnt hyperpoxia benefit longevity as well as achieved in hyperbaric chambers?

It's this behavior of this officer that escalates social and community dissatisfaction. I don't understand why they don't understand that.
Fasting and excercise puts me into ketosis...

You must be talking about David Beckham.
They have high UV exposure

diet and genetics

@@lanistelchen8189 where is proof it's genetics? Isn't it diet and exercise?
So exercising precisely ONE way = life and all others = death. Most...stupid...logic...EVER.
PLEASE do not breed.
Siim Land. Your welcome .
Minimum takeaway: different kinds of exercise have different benefits.
Where's the scientific data?
I bet you can achieve similar results doing vigorous pranayamas which can control CO2 and Oxygen levels. No way in hell will I spend an minute, much less an hour, in one of those closed-in foul air cycling rooms.
Corona triggered autophagy that made them dead
Why not just hold your breath for 5 minutes of time to do hypoxia? 😅
