Yesterday? No wonder, I've heard there was supposed to be rain and then freezing. I'm glad we could catch some nice snow despite the fact it was a bit icy at times.
Wow, that's cool! I'm glad to capture the spirit of skiing loving kids! My son watched this video, got embarrassed, especially at his phrase "luckily nobody from the lift saw me fall", and now "the entire RUclips sees this". I told him I also publish my own falls, and those are some of the most viewed videos because they show real life.
@@SeattleDiverSkier Hahaha, yea, my son was the one who had trouble to put the ski back on after falling, but he's still so happy to see himself in your video. He was with his ski team that day so we didn't get a chance to take a video for him. It was his first day with the team, first time skiing at Alpental, and first ever double black diamond, we truly appreciate you actually helped us capture this.
Wow, this is amazing. Upper International's rocky and icy ledge is very scary. I have chills every time I recollect that drop. Send my congratulations to your son for being so brave and skillful to ski there!
Yes, this is definitely harder. The rock ledge on the Upper International is very scary. There are plenty other double black runs on from the Chair 2, which I recommend to try!
@@axin9995 In real life it looks like a 90 degree wall. It's very scary. I'd first go on the new International lift and check out the middle part of Upper International. It's all very steep. Once I fell there and was sliding probably for 100 yards with no prospects of simply stopping, until I started digging in with my hands and toes, effectively standing in a plank position. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/EC_PFowGSqY/видео.html Note that it's in the middle part of Upper International.
@@axin9995 Do you mean that there was an easier path? I went the easiest way there was. Now I actually do what the guy did at 0:25 - just send it a bit more straight over the cliff. Also, now there is no cat track like there was last year, only the steep icy and rocky wall.
Love the content. I was up at Alpental Monday and it was an ice bowl. Upper international was closed

Thanks for uploading. I actually see my son in your video, he is one of the kids on upper international. 😂

Oh, great to hear this! How old is your son?

Is this harder than triple 60 in snoqualmie. planning on this being my first double black

@@SeattleDiverSkier at 0:30 in your suggested video, I guess you can go in the pathway into the run instead of skiing the drop
