16:30 Incidentally Falconets are one of the worst answers to settlers/villagers, they don’t count as infantry so no bonuses. Meanwhile settlers do get small bonuses on them and can easily walk up and melee them. Best answer is hand cavalry because the cdb card gives range resist and the bulk of the villager damage is range which gets resisted by hand cavalry. So ironically the Berber Camels would have been okay but they can only have 9. Raiders or Knights would have been best for the Hausa.

Love Rhode Island for Portugal but I'd use it in combination with chinese TPs to get the TP line to age4 - that may be a bit too greedy in this MU tho

8:35 how did Aiz research Lenape Warrior Societies? That's the veteran upgrade for Lenape, aka the rarest Native civ in the game (only spawning on Unknown maps).
Probably a bug. Haven’t seen it for a while but back in the day sometimes the wrong text or additional text would come up on recorded games of things being researched that weren’t. Rarely this happened in actual games too but the tech isn’t actually researched.

I really think aoe 3 is one of if not the most original and intresting aoe game .
And iam tired of predending aoe 2 or 4 are better .
People are sleeping on aoe 3 because most of the fans grew up with aoe 2 nostalgia

@@bingxilao9086 it’s this why aoe3 is so contentious. People either love or hate this feature. I’m okay with it but I’d have changed the nature of it.
Like being able to simple produce a massive army out of seemingly thin air with a shipment, an age up, militiamen, and in some cases more like Spain dogs, it’s no wonder people were annoyed at first, especially cus Spain was busted as hell on release and for two years after. Its stuff like that which is why people are iffy on aoe3 even now, whether it’s balanced or not,
@@Peachrocks5 the problem is mainly the instant units, it totally detracts from the infrastructure side of what an RTS is (or should be)

Agree. It’s why I name my US general 30 better options. It’s also silly because the revolt mechanic exists specifically to represent them. Just because it’s terrible for most doesn’t mean you couldn’t change it around a bit to make it work, like for starters not disabling imperial and not deleting your economy for a bunch of mediocre units.
They should have just made aoe4 focus on scramble for Africa and that period of history so the US would make sense.
