I have a 14 month old John I wanna start working and start saddle at 24 month(2y) The problem is I've only ever broken horses.. is it at all the same?

It’s been my experience that a mule will think about something longer, but they do catch onto things faster. I will say that once the mule has the ground work down doing it repetitively is unnecessary. The Mule will get bored. A mule will not do anything that they do not think is safe or reasonable to them.
