    Fun fact Aris really didn't want Noctis in Tekken 7 and was so visibly disappointed by his reveal that Harada walked over to him and said "Sorry Aris" shortly after the trailer was shown at that event. Saw Aris tell the story a while back, you can actually see the part where Harada apologizes to him on the stream lmao.

    • @Bynoe
      @Bynoe 3 года назад +18

      Aris' line after the reveal; "I can't tell you how excited I am..." was perfect. He didn't pretend to be hype, he didn't shit on the reveal, he didn't say anything he shouldn't, he just found the perfect line to walk the line of letting the people who know him know EXACTLY how he felt, while still plausibly seeming excited for anyone who doesn't.

      You know, for all the stuff on how cool it was getting a Final Fantasy character in Tekken 7, I always thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity that they didn't put Tifa in the game eventually, because I mean...it just felt like it'd be the best fit to me.

    • @anonymousnate678
      @anonymousnate678 3 года назад +5

      @@SpanishFly120 I agree. Tifa would fit the Tekken universe perfectly but considering they had to make a deal with Square Enix, who was probably well aware the FF7 Remake was still a couple years away probably told the Tekken team they could only do Noctis since I don't even think they had shown Tifa in the remake trailers at that point.

    the reason there's not as many compilations of fgc players throwing pads when we lose, is because of 2 things
    1. it's way less aerodynamic and super bulky so not as satisfying to throw and harder to throw
    2. shit costs like $300 and if you got a mix/hitbox or another stick like that where they ship from asia and you gotta wait 300 months for that shit and the fgc broke as fuck as is? aww hell nah I hope people wouldn't throw their sticks
    whereas with pads
    1. they can go flying and get good bounce, in the right hands which can be satisfying for someone in that moment
    2. They cost way less being between $50-$70 instead of a few hundred

      Gamecube controllers cost a lot for pros, but generally not beyond $300 and generally produced in America so it does not take as long to get. Also, controllers used to be hard to get at satisfactory performance because there was no one producing them and Gamecube controllers are very inconsistent.

    Very simple answer.
    Most traditional "FGC" versus fighting games started in Arcade so you're refrained from damaging the input device/cabinet (although it has happened aka bang the machine). However with Smash which started on GameCube, controllers were less than $30. As a matter of fact, people on the Consumer side (opposite of Arcade) of gaming or "console" have been wall carrying controllers into the ground since the 1970s.

    Just a random unrelated question. Japan has English classes. Do they teach Americanized English or British English? To simplify, do they get taught "flavor" or "flavour" / "color" or "colour"?

    I don't know why controller spiking and having actual temper tantrums so regularly in a public envvironment is tolerated the way it is in The Smash commnunity. These people will actually start breaking property that's not even their own sometimes. It's so embarrassing and uncomfortable for everyone else, it makes for such a laughably bad look.

      you think everybodys just throwing their controllers at tourneys off one video huh. there are literally examples of fgc guys in the same video getting physically aggressive and disregarding others' property yet somehow you only focus on the smash part? Dont try and spin this as if the fgc is superior in some way because everything that's said about smashers also applies to the fgc to some extent lmao. Also how can you assume any of this is "tolerated" based off out-of-context clips in a video highlighting ridiculous gamer moments?
      I'll also add:
      -These clips are like 6 years old
      -Smash (obviously) has crossover with Nintendo players in general, so I'll give that to the fgc. Obviously a bunch of grown men in their 30s are going to act better than smash kids
