it doesn't matter how old something is, if its a good song and perfomance that is all that matters, that is what makes it timeless! And this was a great perfromance!!! Great song.
Great Harmony. I remember watching this back during the Holidays in 1999. I taped it, I so enjoy great acting and singing. Smokey Joe's Cafe was also great. Thanks for posting this enjoyable piece.
Wow. Never seen this one! These two are so beautiful! Great job too! I always wonder how Broadway actors can get up and sing outside on the Today show so early! Lol!
I love Linda Eder but I also love Luba Mason and wish people would stop comparing her to Linda. She sings it in her own style and it's beautiful. I love when replacements bring something new to a role. Also, they made the wig match Luba's own hair color as they made Linda's wig match her hair color. Luba was the first replacement. After this everyone else who played Lucy wore a wig the color of Linda's hair. That is just personal preference. It doesn't bother me either way. And that flub was on the musicians that rushed.
There voices sound like women! Finally! A video where the singers don't sound like little girls. A womans voice is WAY better than a little girl's voice. Beautiful. :)
@JeanVe She would look stunning, but don't you think that they look quite similar? Quite an interesting statement about jekyll and hyde. But i do agree that I would prefer a darker Lucy. But then, I do freaking LOVE linda eder...
LINDA EDER & CHRISTINE ANDREAS OWN THIS SONG! ESP LINDA. IT was written for Linda for chissakes. It's an incredible song so any two Broadway hacks can do a decent job of it, but I agree w/ xEtchiSketchx Leave the song alone, you're gonna murder it!
@barzeeutube Ok, I'm just making sure you weren't being rushed! haha! You both sang fabulously here and it would've been a shame if the prettiness was rushed. XD
Did you hear it..? I still haven’t forgiven her Aida 😳👀 Still, Constantine proved to be an interesting choice. In my Linda Eder compilation video, I included the cutest impromptu/on-the-spot improvisation of *Dangerous Game* between Constantine & Linda (the revival songs are mostly *very* different styles than Frank Wildhorn’s compositions - but he holds his own & then some with Linda 😝) - it’s pretty amazing; not to mention educational 🖤 ruclips.net/video/6Ob1i2tw33k/видео.html
I think its just the crappy quality...but they wound quite similar..and the blonde hair on lucy doesnt work.... i dont like anastasia though she annoys me....
It's nearly impossible to do these things outside. Its so hard to hear! I love these ladies! Hope you saw them live in the theater. Thank you for your sweet compliment! Xo
Both understudies?? Sad… this should be Linda Eder & Christiane Noll 🤔 Edit: I have a few TV Spots like this with the OBC in this video: ruclips.net/video/_MIctE94jS0/видео.html
@@NathanDiehl news to me; was this like, for a week? I was involved with this show- to the best of my knowledge Colleen Sexton (uggghhhhh) replaced Linda & hung on for dear life; even earning herself a set of breast implants compliments of 🤢 Hasselhoff … make of that what you will 😏 Andrea Rivette was by the far the most competent replacements from opening to closing night. JMHO/personal experience
@@LivinLuxuriously Yeah, check it out! Both Anastasia and Luba were in it for over a year. www.ibdb.com/broadway-production/jekyll-hyde-4750#Replacements It was actually the first Broadway show I saw and both of them were in it at the time.

Beautiful ladies with haunting voices
I had the pleasure of seeing these two on Broadway way back when. Wonderful

Oh wow this was amazing! From one Anastasia to another it was indeed fantastic!

I really love Lucy's dress here.

Peter D. Christiane Noll was the original Emma, not Christine Andreas.
Great performance, but I prefer a dark Lucy! And this singer would look stunning with a brown wig!

omg....ok...the singers were good...BUT THE MUSICIANS WERE RUSHING LIKE HELL! damn!
I can't wait to hear Teal Wicks and Deborah Cox do this in the upcoming Broadway Revival!!

Not really feeling it... on any level.... They're good but totally out of sync..

Not understudies. These actors replaced Eder and Noll when they departed the production.
