To Bri an's point, switching to dark mode on RUclips would work too. I'm sure that would be the preference for fans of your black screen videos like me!

Hi Dr. Mark, why are all the RUclips L1 videos gone??? I really loved them. They are a BIG resource for people who are just there for the knowledge and not CFA as well. Can you please make them available again? They must be irrelevant for the ever-changing CFA syllabus anyway. I guess they'd work as marketing material for you too, instead of cannibalizing.

Is there a way to get some type of external alert (email, discord) for when new applied series videos are posted?

Any thoughts on Brainard leaving the Federal Reserve?

Hi Mark. Just wondering if you could share your thoughts on investing in REITs in non-registered account (both US and Canadian REITs)? Also, do you prefer US over Canadian REITs as the options on the former are more liquid? Thanks!

Use synthetic positions for that - the PV of the dividends would be in the puts.

@@MarkMeldrum Thanks for the reply! Just for clarification, do you mean to trade a one year synthetic with a strike = current price+pv(div)? Wondering if you could explain this in the Q&A next week.

No. Synthetic strike can be anywhere for a delta if 1. The put premium will contain the PV of the dividend. No foreign currency exposure, no withholding tax, dividend now taxed as a capital gain. Use a strike that gives you a credit, so the strike just above the market price.

Hey Mark, readablity on the dark screen is a bit challenging. I would suggest either using white background instead of black, or white pen instead of red. Thanks!

Hey Mark. CS undergrad taking my level 1 CFA In November. How should someone with minimum knowledge approach these videos? I assume “very slowly”? 😂 Thanks!
