That’s why people will just decide to do studio makeup for their marriages cos the charge for bridal makeup is exorbitantly high. You see muas charging as high as 200k and above for wedding makeup.
They always get the feeling that,
“is the makeup going to last forever “
Even the groom or family members will be like what are they putting on the face. The groom will not even drop a dime for the makeup
Most atimes, brides use their own money to pay for bridal makeup and they won’t disclose the real amount they paid to their friends/husband cos they will laugh at her and say it’s too expensive
You’ll inform them that’s what you can afford. They’ll consider

Lovely video. Meanwhile, I heard the story about a lady saying she wanted makeup for a shoot, but it ended up being for a wedding. Question is, if she was comfortable with regular makeup for her wedding and that’s what she could afford, why does she then have to pay more for “wedding” makeup? I assume the wedding makeup is more expensive because it is different from regular. If she did regular studio makeup for her wedding, she should pay the regular price. Thinking out loud…
I totally agree. As a mua, you do makeup for different kind of people, it’s not ur business where they are going to.
If a someone say she wants a makeup for her marriage, you’d charge for bridal package and deliver promptly. And if someone says she just wants a regular makeup, you’ll do it as well. They might decide to go for their court wedding/pre wedding photoshoot/traditional marriage, it’s totally none of your business. As far they’ve paid for the regular makeup charge.

What makes bridal makeup more expensive is:
1. They use better/studio make up products to get a better and long lasting look
2. It’s mostly home service
3. The mua has to change &touch up the look throughout the day so it’s going to be more expensive normally.
If you as a MUA don’t do any of this for a client, why are you entitled to the bridal make up fee because the person ‘lied’?
