- In this video, Tom shows us a new gun in his collection. It is a boxed 9mm PPK made in 1936. We believe it is the only one in the world! It was given to someone as a gift by a Chilean Ambassador and found its way here!
Speaking a bit of history, these pistols were given to the personnel of the money-collecting tellers of the Caja de Ahorros de Santiago, now Banco Estado de Chile, in 1940 for their personal protection. I currently have one with all its accessories, in its original box and with a small box of ammunition that came inside it in excellent condition.
PP and PPks are just the most beautiful pistols ever
No, Makarov is.
@@morriszachrisson8359 Yeah, Makarov is beautiful but PPK is most beautiful pistol in the World.
@@kagebiit6076 No, Glock is.

A basic Thank you Tom, no words to describe the beauty of this pistol.
I always learn something new from your videos. Especially this one.
Amazing. How these things can remain in the condition they do for decades astounds me.
Great stuff!
Beautiful. WOW.
I have a 7,65mm ULM ppk from 1971 (the box says alexandria Virginia but it has german proofmarks) greetings from Germany

Tom, after watching your video about your heart issue, I made some appointments. Tomorrow I go on the treadmill and Eco. Thanks for taking time to post that. BTW when I was watching that video, I was in my wife's hospital room. She had some heart issues too. Again, thanks!
So glad sharing my experience was beneficial. Im feeling great, and back to running 3 miles about 3 X per week. Try to enjoy every day !! God Bless
Unreal! Amazing gun.
Is that Walter in a cigar box?! AMAZING!!!
Love everything chilean
What an astounding find. I can't imagine its value.
"Ohne" is the word you are looking for.
The label of theconversion kit shows the Santiago dealer, " AWAD Hmnos" ( Hermanos= Brothers)
Awad is a Syrian/ Levantine Name, on the pre WWI and soon after WWI, many Syrians emigrated to Chile and Argentina, of the more peaceful conditions. They prospered as Merchants, and Gunshops were one of their many businesses.
Obviously, for Walther to produce Spanish Language Boxes and manuals, theyhad a large market on Latin America ( High levels of German populationsin Chile and Argentina as well) not only the Spanish ( European ) Market.
DocAV Gunboards for PM
That was awesome congrats
Just like my grandson says "sharing is caring" :)
It looks like Chile has good taste in HANDGUNS
A lot of Germans live there
Very cool PPK chain of owner ship is just as interesting as the pistol. I hope you consider opening your own private museum some day (tax write off). I wish we could own short barreled guns in Canada but they have to be longer then 4.17". thanks again
Thanks Tom. Wonderful content. L
Incredible............
Those conversation kits were quite popular before WW2.......
Wow...what a beauty...this one really needs to go on a world tour so everybody can see it and afterwards careully archived and stored in this mountainous "safe" where all the human archievements are stored in case we all perish and stuff can be found by an alien race millenia after us..
You're really making me want to get a Lebel.
Love your video's.So intresting.
I hope it stays in your collection Tom. Merry Christmas sir!
These like new in box guns are amazing! Someday i may get lucky!
If I buy something like this .I will taste it, Must be adrenaline to trying see what this does, not only have it in hands
Wow!!!
Gorgeous
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪
Muchas gracias for sharing! : )
Wow...
I may not be accurate here but the PPK you displayed has a 60 degree safety and the manual you pictured also displays a 60 degree safety. I thought that the early PPK's had a 90 degree safety.
90 degree safety was only used from 1929 to about 1935.
Wow! Unbelievable!
Ohne = Without
Need more light over the desk.
As amazing as this gun is the highlight of the video is your phone book joke lol
Thank you…
9:26min. It’s not .22 it’s 4mm M20 basically a Boxer primer with a 4,30mm ball on top
Thanks. Was trying to figure that out
Gotta say Im a sucker for major power guns. Just cant imagine myself enjoying this
9mm kurz is .380ACP, not 9mm Luger
3:05
9mm kurz is 9x17 or .380 , 9mm Luger is 9 x19
You are correct. I thought I said that in the video, but perhaps I didnt make it clear.
@@LegacyCollectibles No, you definitely mentioned this at 3:05. These guys are just flexing their knowledge for the sake of it. Maybe they can argue you should have added "Kurz" to the description, but I don't think it matters.
Hi Tom
I was wondering if you sell it how much you would ask
Mr. Good morning... I am writing to tell you that I am from Chile and that I have the same pistol with the same box and the same accessories.
Very good to know. Do you want to send me the serial # for my database?

@@thomaswhiteman4261 oK.... At night when I get home.
@@thomaswhiteman4261 I send you one viedo.
It's exciting, yet awkward when you say "quickie"
I see a little cut out on the left grip (for a magazine release ?)
Yes. The bottom of the grip is altered. Cut out for the mag release lever
It may be a 4mm, have one like that for my S&W m14, the ammo is an elonggated primer with a tiny pellet on top, very common for indoor shooting in europe, so called gallery shooting
I'm dreaming hope to wake up having it lol
WOW !
Essa é uma das minhas preferidas.
I noticed that Pre 1945 PPK model in the rare .380 auto all have a bottom magazine
release. However Post war PPK .380 models / Walther & Manurhin manufactured have a side magazine release just as the Pre 1945 models had in 22 lr & .32 cal. Does anybody know why the pre 1945 PPK's in .380 were originally designed that way with a bottom mag release?
Without is Ohne.
Please refrain from using "9mm" to describe these PP/PPK pistols. Yes I know the .380ACP caliber was called "9mm kurz" in Europe, but today the term 9mm almost universally means the 9mm Luger cartridge, which is larger and far more powerful than the 9mm kurz.
I have a Walther PP ULM 7.65mm, pinky clip, all parts are original... trying to get a idea of what it is worth.
Ohne = without

Hello im Héctor from Honduras my grandfather giving me a whalther ppk 9 mm kurtz like this and i need more information i think this gun is very old maybe ore ww ll who can i contact you?
Email us photos at info@legacy-collectibles.com
I am counting 6 witness holes + the top round on those mags... so they are 7 round 380 mags? Why are the modern 380 PPK mags only able to hold 6 rounds?
Cordiali saluti.
Mit oder ohne...
how many $
Also wow subs have dropped very significantly. What is going on.
Not sure what you are looking at, but our subs just keep growing. Adding about 1000 per week. We are well below Forgotten Weapons but each week is a new high for us.
Thanks for watching.
@@LegacyCollectibles Oh thats great! maybe i was looking at it weird like 3500 vs 35,000. Great channel man. I keep saying it but you guys are great
Estimated value?
6 - 10 k U.S.
I Will take a look if i can find another one and let You know.
Do You like Chilean Navy Lugers? 😎
Yes, Check it out, I can take another.
Dear Sir!Please make video with Walther mod.TPH(Tashe Pistole MIT Hunn). My Respect
What will such a gun...this gun...cost? Anybody..?
$6-7k
Is this 9mm Luger? With a fixed barrel?
It is 9mm kurz. That is 9mm short or more commonly .380 acp.
It is a 9x19 mm if it was a .380 it would definitely say kurz . He`s had vids on these before.
@@gunfisher4661 says 9mm kurz right on the box. Timestamp 3 minutes and ten seconds for a good look at the 9mm kurz marking on the box.
german 'mit oder ohne' = english 'with or without'
Thanks for the help. I took German in high school and knew that back then. Lost a lot of what I knew.
Great gun. Btw, i hope this guy got weapon specialist to find out it's condition, instead of giving them to someone who will do this by shooting it. In one video it wasn't funny at all when he joked "he might get hurt or not, let's see" or something like this. Fortunately test went well with that guy, despite pistol being in very bad condition.
You need to lighten up and enjoy life. I was joking and having fun. I handle over 100 weapons a week and your suggestion is that I need to get a weapons expert.? 30 years of collecting.... never an incident, never a problem. What expert would have more experience?
@@thomaswhiteman4261 You are correct about me having to go over some things and enjoy life. I believe such time has come so thanks. Who will know more than you? Probably gunsmiths, weapons designers, enginners, collectors are on the bottom of the list. And let me tell you that you should be the first to teach people how to approach weapon which might not work properly or even harm a person. Help your supporters get educated about safety because the rest of your program is very interesting. Enjoy!
.380, not "9mm."
I'm arqe
If i ever get some rare gun in my life, my wife will go first before the gun.lol
So sad to see these guns go into a safe because people are afraid to shoot them to not "hurt" the "collector" value.
What a waste...
Have a friend has a 25 cal Luger is he full of shit?
