Beni is just amazing. Just the physical toll on her wrist is unbelievable. her talent is off the charts. Sometimes she shreds better on three strings than some guitarists with six. I never tire of watching her.
Speaking as a guitarist who started playing in 1961, I have to agree.I know what it takes to blast like that on a guitar and to do that with just three strings is truly incredible.

She sits in regularly with Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, with the truly amazing bassist Juna Serita and sax player Harumo Imai. I would love to see her play with The Jazz Avengers, an excellent Japanese female jazz band. Juna Serita also plays with them, along with drummer Senri Kawaguchi and guitarist Chizuru, along with an amazing 4 piece brass section. The addition of the shamisen to great jazz hits like "What Is Hip?" and "Soulful Strut" is very cool.
Kiyoshi sometimes gets lost in the background, as does Kurona, but Daisuke is just amazing also. Kiyoshi is a virtuoso on the Koto, as is Moyun, who does great covers on the Guzheng, which is the original Chinese instrument. There is a Taiwanese performer named Ni Ni Music who does covers of rock songs with several different traditional Chinese instruments and is extremely talented. I've really gotten to like folk metal, like WGB, The HU, Otyken and a few others.
I think that sound a big part of why I love this band! It's the fact that they embrace their culture so much in traditional instruments and I love Yuko's voice even though I can't understand a work she is singing! Music is truly universal!

It is so hard for one rock band to stick out compared to other rock bands, so it's just plain smart the way this one has found room for traditional instruments alongside a very good mainstream rock set of instruments. Like the old and the new coming to a shared space of excellence. Really fresh and worth the praise.

和楽器をバンド編成で融合させた新しいスタイルは、在りそうで無かった。ボーカルも詩吟を生かした歌唱法で、演歌とは違う余韻を残している。コンサート活動も和楽器の仲間や剣舞を取り入れ、裾野が拡がっているように思う。若い和楽器演者や伝統芸能の目標や励みにもなっているんじゃないだろうか。今後の活躍に期待しています。
