The baklava is wonderful! They also ship worldwide. I’ve had the half- tray baklavas sent as gifts to relatives and they love it. (You can order on the website.) I’m a big fan of Shatila.
Knafeh is a must try from here, also the one from Masri Sweets. People travel to Detroit to eat this iconic dessert. The finger Backlava is a holiday must and you are right brotha, it's the perfect thing to bring to a party. Awesome vid.
I'll have to try that next time. I saw it on the menu but there were so many items! And you're right that baklava is awesome! Thanks for checking out the vid brother!
Love watching all the places you’re going to. My fella is so happy you have guided us to some amazing places, so thank you! WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO GO MEET ERNIE AT ERNIE’S MARKET IN OAK PARK. Hes one of a kind!! You’ll definitely like his big sandwich. Tiny place with BIG LOVE flavor.
Thanks for following along and glad you guys found some new places to eat! I need to make my way out there. Everybody's been telling me I need to go! Thanks for the recommendation
The way to shop Shatila is to bring a deep pocket and your significant other. Buy one or two - no more - of everything. Nibble and discuss in the car. Make sure you have something to cleanse the palate. Some stuff that looked great in the shop will underwhelm. Other items which start bland on the tongue will leave a finish which makes you clamor for more. You’ll end up learning a lot. Wife & I found several items we liked a lot more than the baklava.
Cross the railroad track to the east and try out New Yasmeen Bakery, great people, great food, best Syrian bread and other stuff to take home, pastries also. Been going here for probably 30 years. Grew up very near here when i was a kid, almost 70 years ago. Walla! 😁
Looks yummy, but I'm boycotting all restaurants in Dearborn. Voted for trump, people in my neighborhood of Westland won't be spending any money in Dearborn

That's awesome that they ship worldwide! I took a tray to my Thanksgiving and everyone loved it!
Try the Astoria Pastry Shop. There's one in Royal Oak, and Downtown Detroit. I love Shatila's fingers, I buy them by the tray. Great Review btw.
I'll have to visit Astoria! Thanks for the recommendation and for checking out the review!
Not sure if it’s too far away, Scott, but Cakes by Stephanie in Monroe has some of the best desserts we’ve ever had.
I get down to Monroe sometimes but I haven't done any reviews there yet. I'll put this one on the list. Thanks for the recommendation

Definitely need some deep pockets there. It's not cheap. But they had so much stuff. I would need a couple visits to really try some things there.
They are the best! I go there all the time!
You need to go at least a few times just to be able to try everything! There's so much
It's the most obvious one. But look for the smaller ones all around Dearborn and down Inkster Rd!
I'll have to try some different spots. I know we have such a wide variety of places!
@@DetroitFoodReview some of them just get stuff from across the river in Windsor, so make sure they make their own stuff
@@Tangobutton That's a good point. Thanks
Yes it is
So good!

Ill have to stop by there. I have driven by it before but I've never been. Thanks for your recommendation and for checking out the video!
🔥🔥🔥
Great spot!
Their Kanafa is delicious
I need to try it next time!
