Thank you 🙏 When I fly I’m so used to packing a really big suitcase but I’m going on a mission trip and was told that I have to pack a carry on and was mildly freaking out trying to figure out how I’m going to fit 7 days worth of clothes into a really small bag (granted I won’t be taking as much stuff like my hair dryer and straightener but still…) you’re a life saver!
Thank you for this! I did the undies(with bra) socks and shirt one and then I was able to roll my pants beside them AND pjs for three days worth of clothes in the bottom of a carry-on size bag!!!
To be fair it doesn’t matter how you fold them. Any way you fold them will get wrinkles in them. The wrinkles are from the clothes sitting in that position for too long.
How about normal shirts (the fancy kind with collars and stuff), how would you pack those without them getting too wrinkly and still maintaining a small packing size?
you just need to take one of those hand held steamer/wrinkle remover. check this video out if you don't know what i'm talking about. ruclips.net/video/sBnFRiPWzr4/видео.html
@@MParentWetmore Depends whether it's just for a trip or as a permanent position in your drawers. If it's in the drawers they remain stretched for much much longer. Because you don't wear the same pair every day, so it has the time to "come back".
Thank you so much for this video! I only have my Backpack to store things on the go and I can only stuff but so much into it. This video just made things alot easier ;)
pro tip: you dont just have to roll the thing shown in your video. as long as you turn out the shirt enough (at the bottom) you can pack in other things as well (toothbrushes, deodrant, hairbrush, etc.)
roll them tightly and neatly into ziplock bags and remove the air or into compression cubes or into a small packing cube and that will enable you to fit a TONNE of stuff into your case or bag.. you can stack them on their end like books on a shelf and use a zipped pencil case or a thick woven document folder for toiletries ,decant them into tiny jars, bottles, spray bottles etc. 10ml of perfume or foundation or cream is plenty for a week ... amazon and e bay are your friends ... test out how much of any product you actually use for a week and you can multiply it by the amount of weeks you are going for .. use solid toiletries and shampoo etc. all these things take up FAR FAR less room and you can easily discard the checked in case ... look for the capacity of the bag or case for the size .. i found cabin cases with larger packing capacities than far larger check in ones so always check how many litres it can hold ... for example you can see a cute case and it only holds 20 odd litres but mine is smaller and can hold 57 and i have seen cabin cases that pack up to 62 but make sure when you pack cabin only you have no weight limit or a decent limit or else it doesn't work ..happy packing!
i know Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Gordon Achilles Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Skivvy Roll is great for planning out your outfits so you don't end up over-packing, but I worry about stretching out my socks. Are there any alternatives to it where the socks aren't used to secure the roll? So far, I guess folding them over/under the roll and securing it with elastic bands could work, but I'm not certain it's the best method.
How about suit jackets, ties and dress shirts, plus ladies skirts, blouses, jackets, hosiery, underwear, etc? Going on a cruise requires formal wear on most of them, so I haven't seen a video about these items being folded, but I would like to. The rest of this I have been doing off and on since 1973.
love it but what / how would you ad sweatshirts? Like the T-shirts and wouldn't that make the rolls much bigger? Any suggestion on how to get sweatshirts tiny packed?
Awesome. I was really worried about packing a carry on for travel and not have room but now I know with this information I can pack light and have room to throw my souvenirs in on my way back ^.^
I like how compact things are but my question is if it puts too much stress on the shirt bottoms and stretch them out? Also with the underwear bottoms.
1. how is it compact? stacking these rolls makes much air in between, doesn't it? 2. if you pack clothes like this for a long time, don't they stretch out?
A tank top would work in the exact same way as the t-shirt, minus the step where you fold the sleeves over, it's even easier. As far as trying to ranger roll a dress, well, the same principle still applies, however, it will only work well with dresses that do not flare out at the bottom. Hope that helps.

If you try this with flimsy dress style socks then maybe. I have only ever used thick sports socks and never had a problem with the elastic being ruined :)
only use clothes that dry quick and never need ironing this way and a few packing cubes for extra organisation and I can travel for 3 weeks with carry on only.....only way to travel :)
The fold at 230 if you include pants that are thin , like leggings, a skirt or maybe even jeans, you could use that fold shown at 230. Doing that would make it simple to change, because it would be a hole all fit, minus a bra for a girl.
I am Tshirt Manufacturer from India. This is Absolutely Cheap and Amazing Method. Thank you.

@DaKrawnik y the hate look at all the likes obviously it was useful
@DaKrawnik no, it was helpful
I'm going to use this method at home too. Limited drawer space and usually overflows. Think this is going to be life changing, thank you very much!
Glad to hear it, check out part two also :)
ive seen a tik tok from a soldier who shows that she put them in little baggies after and saves a bit more space and keeps them together better.
Great ideas. Thank you so much. I did find that with larger t shirts you have to make those bottom folds longer, more like 3 inches. THX.
Your packing videos are awesome!!! Will try this for my upcoming trip that is 16 days!!! Thanks!!!
I have a bunch of trips to go on this summer and this is totally gonna help me save space in my trunk. Thank you!

Extremely informative and helpful
This is awesome! 2018 is going to be a big travel year for us, and I'll definitely be using some of these techniques. Thanks for this awesome video!
I'm glad to hear it!
I have watched a bunch of these videos. Want to see how wrinkled the clothes look days later when unrolled.
Try the methods Marie Kondo uses on folding clothes. I do those methods and my clothes come out quite well.
To be fair it doesn’t matter how you fold them. Any way you fold them will get wrinkles in them. The wrinkles are from the clothes sitting in that position for too long.
Rolling wrinkles them much less than making sharp folds!
@irmar I love you baby

I tried that
Doesn't work on formals or Winter wear.
Only do this on summer clothing and thin material.
While doing the skivvy roll the elastic of socks loosens up
To me it appeared to be about as big around as a calf muscle. How is this stretching them out more than just wearing them?
@@MParentWetmore genius
Well then u have shitty socks
I would use rubber bands to hold it together or a ribbon or string etc and pack the socks x

Wow, this IS amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!👍
the last roll looks like something you cant do for too long or the socks will lose their elasticity and go loose (depending on quality of material)
instead of streching the socks, just pack them in with the roll and use rubber banda
I had no room in my suitcase after rolling my t shirts but after doing it your way I have so much more room

You could just make the first fold deeper to accommodate the thickness of everything else and add the socks over the underwear then roll as normal.
Great video, what do you do with your dirties? Do you also fold them up?

Does folding things over stretch them out?
maybe the socks, but not anything else. (for the socks one just pack the socks in and use rubber bands
will it work the same with trainer socks (ankle socks) and shorts? going to america soon from britain :)
+Murphy Banner I've never actually tried that combo, give it a try and let me know how you get on :)
Alright 👍
Just started packing and it works amazingly thanks!!
The amount of time and work spent on applying those techniques has made me exhausted already. 😂
Very helpful
1:19 it looks like the statement was written under the t shirt
yeah it looks cool,I just saw that 4 times still It's cool
Will this stretch out the tee around the bottom area?

Will rolling up my t shirts make creases in my uniform?
Yes there will be some creasing
Go Experimental, ok thanks, now I know not to do it to my uniform. Great video idea though! I'll definitely use this idea for my traveling!
Does the skivvy roll stretch out your socks noticeably?
wouldn't the bands of the clothes become slack due to overstretching?
Instead of doing the third technique, do the skivvy role without the jeans. I find it a lot easier.
I know I’m late, but just fold the bottom of the jeans up to the top. It works for me!

Skivvy roll can be a bit hard on the sock elastic, otherwise great stuff !
instead of streching the socks, just pack them in with the roll and use rubber bands
HOLY Sh*..., amazing!!
Great ideas, thanks. But what happened to the audio about halfway through ? It turned painful.
Would it stretch the clothes?
Not in my experience
The how-to-fold-the-shirt-in-two-seconds was already published by DaveHax on July 12th 2013
does it wrinkle your clothes when you roll it up like that?
There will be some wrinkles yes
J'en suis qu'à 56 secondes et c'est déjà dingue
Instead of folding the socks over it, I put them around and tied them with knots, way better for elasticity of them
wow!
