Outstanding! You took the old broadcast that scared the hell out of people all those years ago, because if you remember when they first heard it on the radio they thought it was real. and you worked it into the movie itself perfectly.Very amazing!
Very nicely done across the board: our protagonist's physical reactions, the narrator's Welles voice, the nice Martian animations - and the sudden color of the ending.
@BryanAlexander nothing set in stone right now but there have been ideas! A feature length 1938 War of the Worlds is definitely a dream of mine though. In fact this short was originally conceived as a proof of concept for a larger feature. Hopefully one day! - Nolen
Holy shit, what an achievement. The effects are lovely, and this stands head and shoulders above the rest of your productions, which is saying something. Everything on display here is such an obvious and awe inspiring culmination of everything you've learned over the last handful of years.
I like the _Citizen Kane_ techniques, including the camera on or near the floor --which George Romero certainly borrowed for _Night of the Living Dead_ , and that also is a great influence on your film--via the claustrophobic isolated farmhouse, the media reports building the terror of what is just outside...
i like the way its live action and to be lucky for this guy he has a vintage radio! (some how...) VERY AWSOME GCP did an AWSOME job on this this need a oscar award!
This was just wow! From the pracitcal special effects to the atmosphere!
Amazing short, and that last shot at the end gorgeous.

@robertlehnert4148 Great observations! We absolutely tried to recall some visual techniques from Kane, and Romero is 100% always a major influence!
This is so cool, congratulations!
Absolutely stunning stuff

Excellent job, however...
