Is this low rate just because this is old? I am mining on this computer while watching this with one GPU and getting 35-40 MH/s.
the noise of the blade was driving me nuts so I added some tiny heat sinks to power convertors and the inducer and put a lower speed fan at the front and a quiet one blowing on the back of the board where any heat problems will show up.
As the blade is only designed for script mode the gridseed chips don't get hot at all so what I have done is more than adequate cooling and far more peaceful.

The back of the board runs hot even in standard mode so don't try the overclock imop

I as well could not stand the noise coming from it. Not only was it loud, but the fan was partially defective, making a nice churning noise (still pumped tons of air.) I went and threw a Noctua 92mm fan in it's replacement and all is happy as can be, can't even hear it now, and still runs cool.
Leon Corsav If you have not put little heat sinks on the three voltage regulators and the big inducer it may overheat, the input cap is a weak link too

Hi Ive added more gridseed blades, but one board (and it switches if i reboot) shows hashing down at 1.2mh all 5 others show normal hashing up to a 2.6-7mh ish.
I am using bfgminer.
There is all so something else recognised OCL: 0 ? sometimes it runs sometimes it doesn`t?
Any advice is welcome.

I've downloaded the Bfgminer software, but keep reading warnings on websites to make sure BTC mode is turned off (for Cgminer). can you tell me if the Bfgminer download has this mode turned off please ?
Please help! I followed the instructions in your video and have one gridseed blade working. My other gridseed blade is not showing up at all. The unit that is working is hashing at a slow rate. Please help me!

It sounds like the connector on the other blade my be faulty. Contact your supplier and ask them to replace/repair.
Probably your gpu is probing, happened to me so I disabled it

Alex Conklin, it could be you have the freq too high. Lower that and it should lower your HW errors too.

One of my miners has 14 HW errors while the other has none. How can I fix this? I have very minimal knowledge of mining, so i do not know how to rectify this... This is 14 errors within 12 minutes too. Brand new miner. Help!

hi, have you ever seen one of the boards that shows a hash rate yet no shares are accepted? also i found that the board in the blade that does not accept shares emits a clicking sound around the power connector area when plugging, it eventually goes away but still no accepted shares. an ideas? thanks
Hi Colin, i did have this problem before. It is a zombie board. Usually they do find shares eventually. In the end, i took mine apart (just unscrewed all the screws and took off the heatsink) and open the two boards. Gave it a blow and made sure nothing was lodged in there. Then put it back together and it worked again!
how to use 4 pool for in one gridseed blade miner? ?
I got mine last night and have been running for a couple of hours now. I can't get it above 1.8 mhs per board. I can't get it to work on Cgminer and this is the first I have used Bfgminer. Where do you find the temperatures on Bfgminer? This is my bat file, am I missing anything?

im running the gridseed 5, and the gridseed blade on different raspberry pi's, i would like to put them all on one Pi, how would i do this....the 5's are using cpu miner, and blade is using bfg miner....

What speed are you running at, 800 or 850 like you do with the little gridseeds?
the blade will run at 850 with an hardware error about every 6 mins per the 2 boards

Yes it is. I have done it before. Just make sure you have commands for both in your batfile. Post it here if you need any help.

How do you get bfg miner to not use the GPU that's on my system? I can't play games while I mine when using my blade, just curious if there's a another command I can put into the .bat file to tell it to use ONLY the Blade?
Try adding --disable-gpu to the bat file. If that doesn't work then do this: while bfgminer is running If you press M (manage devices) and select the GPU and press D then it will disable it.

can you please show whats inside your bat file. Also if i want to use it on my GPU rig where its currently mining n-scrypt coins using 3GPU via sgwatcher on vertminer. Do I need to add something in this bfgminer bat file so that it will not use gpus at all.? cheers
trying on laptop first but I cant make it work. windows 7x64. Drivers installed and it shows in com ports as COM5 and 6. and I keep bat file for this bfg miner as by default only changed my pool. and user.

but miner only blinks for a second and nothing starts. what could be a problem?
Sorry for the late reply. Try this: bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u yourworker.1 -p password -d gridseed -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=850
Make sure you have reinstalled the virtual com port driver. Add --disable-gpu or -G to your batfile if you want to disable the graphics cards in bfgminer.

about the same really...maybe a little louder. I bet you could modify the fan quite easily if it were a problem.

Why you don't use CGminer? also, Is double hash mode disable by default? If not, how you can disable it?
Take away the -dual command in your batfile and add --scrypt
I use cgminer and bfgminer as necessary, both work better with certain types of miners.

Why are you getting so many HW errors? it shows 7 and 2.
3-6% is quite normal for most miners

Marco Casas it is more profitable than litecoin use the website give a good idea of what to use www.coinwarz.com but some of the coins fluctuate a bit. doge is usually very steady an 9 times out of ten will be more profitable than litecoin to mine you could always then change it on an exchange like cryptsy

Bfgminer I was using from (cryptomining-blog.com/1396-download-bfgminer-3-10-0-for-windows-scrypt-mining-on-gridseed-5-chip-asics/) seems to be giving me low hash speeds on miner AND pool's.
