    Nicely done. What is your tide preference for crabbing? Low slack, high slack? Small exchange?

    • @goatinaround4948
      @goatinaround4948  25 дней назад +2

      @Justin-zs1ql small exchange for sure, but all depends on where you crab. I hit high tide at like docks and bridges, then at beaches, I go low tide.

    Great video. What size line is V using on the Crabhawks. I have only used braided for my pole and it would cut me up if I tried throwing and pulling by hand. Are the crabs starting to harden up a bit yet?

    • @goatinaround4948
      @goatinaround4948  Месяц назад +4

      You can find the line at Wal-Mart or fisherman's it's green in the crab section. The line we have comes with the traps. The crabs are full and really sweet! This year has been the best tasting crab in a long time, I feel. Good luck out there!

  • @98shon98
    @98shon98 Месяц назад +3

    You should have kept that spider crab. I'm told they're extremely sweet and great tasting, since they're a bit smaller, just add vinegar or apple cider vinegar to the water, so the meat doesn't stick to the shell. You should do a catch, clean, and cook with one.

      @@goatinaround4948 You should really try them. The Old Couple Outdoors has caught spider crabs before and thrown them back because they look creepy. Don't let the looks get to you. I bet people who first saw dungeness crabs thought they were creepy too.
