I first got an Odyssey for my sea kayaking and it worked pretty well. It was fully accessorized and provided great flotation. Then, I discovered the cVest and realized how they differ. They're essentially the same on the front which is great, as you have all the advantages offered by the Odyssey. Except for one thing: the mesh back, which was a night & day difference for my paddling. The back side of the Odyssey used to be too bulky and interfered with the backrest of my kayak's seat. It was very annoying having to constantly readjust it and no matter what I did, it was giving me back pain. Wish I had discovered this much earlier. I highly suggest this for kayak touring.
Just bought this… new kayaker! It was my favorite in the store…

“Accoutrements” = fancy word for “stuff” Just learned a new word today. And I’m going to give this PFD a try.
Nice looking PFD!
