Many years ago I was watching I think the Rose bowl parade. The original batboat or maybe a replica?? Was entered. It had been mounted to a car frame and being driven like a car.
The Batboat made it's debut in the 1966 "Batman" movie and also appeared in Seasons Two and Three of the TV series. Was only one Batboat built? Or were there others? And is this one of the Batboats actually used in the movie and/or TV series?
two were made for the show and movie. Both by Glastron. LATER,.. a replica was built by a dealer. I think,...this one is the replica. There are a few things i noticed dont match the show/movie. Still neat to see though.
@@cozythunder1 I sure would love a Batboat like that one and I hope to paint it in the same color scheme like the 1966 Batmobile to fit in my own Homemade Batcave
I have a photo someplace that my Dad took when I was a little kid back in 1966 , I was sitting on the laps of two bikini girls in the Bat-boat . Never forgot it.
Thats sometime i dont see in any of the new batman movies no bat boat no bat cycle like robins or batgirls its always about the batmobile oh yeah i fogot the batcopter to no wonder the 60's batman is better i think the 60's batman had more to offer he had more he robin and batgirl could play with it wasnt my batmobile is better than urs 60's batman was definitely a better show
1966 Batman had Batmobile, Bat cycle. ( 2 different ones.) Bat boat and Bat copter. The other bat cycle had a real side car for Robin, it was shown in a Penguin episode. The cycle looked like a plain motor cycle except for the Bat designed wind screens. Burt Ward hated the other Bat cycle because of that go cart he had to ride on.😂 The only things these new Batman movies show is a new " Trick" Batmobile. Batman 1966 was the Batman I grew up with.
This used to be in metropolis Illinois at the Americana Hollywood museum. I went down there to see it but it was gone. I was leaving town and bam there it was at an o'Reilly's. I waited to talk to whoever was towing it and to see if they bought it which I suppose they did. They never came out and I had to leave. I believe it is a copy. I would have loved to have had the chance to buy it. It is so cool!
It could be real, it's all faded out, there are pieces missing. Also maybe a collector bought it in as is condition, Holy air conditionimg! Robins window is.missing!.And the siren. Is siting. In the boat.
The original Bat Boat was built by Glastron Boat Company i Austin, Texas. My grandparents lived right around the corner from the plant.
That's why the world premiere of the 1966 Batman movie was in Austin.
I seen the Bat boat at the 1966 New York City boat show at the NY Coliseum , located at Columbus Circle , as a 7 year old and will never forget it.
That's awesome !
Bring back memories 1966 batman!! Should be in hall of fame museum
Nice looking boat .
To the Bat Boat, Robin!
I'll tell you one thing, whoever did buy that Bat Boat is one lucky guy!

I'll take it.

they should of put a berkley jet drive in it
ya and lose 20% of your power.
Good imitation, must be super fun even just to tow it around.
Now he needs the 1966 batmobile to tow that and he is set to be Batman.
One of the shields is missing...or very very clean.
I think its missing
Anyone know if the original Bat cycle is still in existence?

Awesome!
Enter the Bat Boat!
Forgot to Add the Batboat Beacon For Safety Purposes most Important Feature
Is that the original Bat Boat from the TV series and/or the 1966 Batman movie?
It probably is a replica but I really don't know.
Looks like the one in Allen Tx
WHAT?? Where is it located? I live in Allen and have never heard of or seen anything about it?
While the batboat that would be fun or take a ride in it in the ocean
It would be super cool!

Batman 1966 was the Batman I grew up with.
90’s Batmans had Bat Boats and Bat Wings. The last Batman had a Bat Motorcycle, I guess?
Adam west( batman) boat
This is a replica. The tail fin is way shorter.
Not the "real" batboat...the batboat has NO prop..it's jet propulsion
❤️ 1966 batman tv ahow
A boat on land looks about as useless as a car in water!
Doesn't look to be the original , it is a decent replica.
Nobody cares

This looks shorter although I could be wrong. Also doesnt have the flashing light like it did in the movie
I looked at it a little closer and the bodywork doesn't look that great
@@dwlopez57 The light is there just not mounted on the pedestal. When I saw it at the museum it was just laying on the ground without a trailer.
@@cozythunder1 ok I stand corrected. I didnt see it in the same place it was on the movie, basically the same place the Batmobile had it.🙂
Stole it from Bruce Wayne & batman
Mola.
This boat looks just as lame as the original! Good job.
Ian Fox , that’s kinda mean, man.
