  • Finally, after almost 19 months I can start rebuilding my bedroom and galley.
Somethings are pretty heavy, and I nearly dropped my washing machine overboard.
My salon is an epic mess, but it's all for good reasons.
    Enjoy

I don't have to guess that all the repairs, the time & effort will be worth it in the end, the peace and tranquility are priceless, well that is what i am convincing myself of, hopefully when I'm in a similar position as yourself
There is a lot to learn here, I really appreciate the channel, including all the new words to my vocabulary "Bugger" 🤣
As always, looking forward to the next ⚓God Speed ⚓

The peace and tranquility is priceless indeed. But it all depends on the location of course. For me the effort I'm putting in is absolutely worth it. When I finish a project, I get a real sense of accomplishment, it ads value to every project, knowing that I am going to enjoy it this time. For over 30 years I worked as a carpenter and build stuff for other people to enjoy, but now I get to enjoy it 🙂
Thank you for enjoying my channel, I wil keep going and make more content!

@@theladyoflife i'm completely blown away by the carpentry for 20 years, you're in a perfect position to literally carve your own dreams into reality, i can't wait to be my own captain :) unfortunately i played with Lego instead of wood growing up, but hey, that"s why i'm here, to learn & what's the old saying measure twice, cut once :)
The ability to watch a different sunset or sunrise wherever the river flows, cries out to me
Thank you for the reply & looking forward to when you set up some merchandise as I would happily contribute to a dream like my own, bye for now 👍⚓

@@Rubber_Ducky1st It is an amazing lifestyle for sure, and I'm lovin' it big time. By the way, playing with Lego is an excellent basis for constructing stuff! I am thinking about a Patreon account for my channel, but I have to look into that first. Thanks for watching, and I'm working hard on the next video! Take care 🙂

I'll bet it feels good to be home and i'm happy to see you made it home safely. Obviously, fate meant to see that you rested after your journey and greeted you with a gentle rain to relax to.
Wow, i was watching you manhandle that washing machine out of the boat and then lowering it down to the dock. Are you sure you're not confusing kilograms with pounds? I can see that thing weighing 60 pounds, but 60 kilograms? That's 130 some pounds! Don't take this wrong but you just don't look that beefy. 😀
Are you going to replace those cabin lights with something different or just leave them off and use alternative lighting? Can't wait to see the counter top installed and how it will look with the sink in and all.
Have you been starting the engines regularly? Nothing worse than finding an issue on the day of an outing when regular maintenance checks would prevent that from happening. Check your engine hoses and fuel fittings each time you light off the engines and let them run at a high idle for about 5-10 minutes to operating temperature. There should be a preventive maintenance schedule available for those engines online someplace. Preventive maintenance is very important if you're looking to get a long life out of the machinery. A maintenance schedule is a list of things you should do with the engine every so many operating hours, like how often to change the oil or how often to clean the injectors, change the fuel filter, etc..
Okay, good to see you back at it. Happy boating.
    :-)

i have not gotten the math wrong here Phillip, it does way over 60 kg. I don't come over as being big or beefy, but I am almost 6,3 feet, and in pounds my weight is over 240 ( 110 kg). Even here in Holland I am a big and tall buggar 🙂 The engines are fine, I do start them on a regular basis, and I hired a mechanic to do some maintenance work on them.
About the lighting, well I am keeping you in the dark for now...some major changes are coming up, and that will be in one of the upcoming videos 🙂 Thanks for watching Phillip!

@@theladyoflife Well, now that i know you are 6'3", it makes more sense to me. You don't appear to be that tall in the videos. I was thinking you shorter than me and i am only 5'10". Okay, with that and the 240 pounds, yes, it does make more sense to me now. Okay, i hate cliff-hangers, but i am a patient guy, so i can wait on the lights.
