love this game. my favorite dog rn has 3 heads, 2 tails and 8 legs. i just bred one with beetle wings which is good because he inherited his father's useless spaghetti legs. my next goal is a legless winged dog who can still get around and survive independently.

Actually I believe it’s a critique on the real world dog breeding industry and how some dogs are bred to extremes. Pugs for example, many pugs have been bred to have flatter and flatter faces and it most often ends up setting them up for a life of pain and struggle.

this game allows you to disable the death iirc, it just breaks some things.
though, i do kind of wish that it mentioned it has death before starting.

I absolutely love this game! I played like 30 hours of it before making a piece of fan art, and the game developers reposted and it made my entire week

I saw something VERY different then both those options.
The dramatic silence paired with Gunks' ridiculous death is the best thing ive seen
in case you did not know,when your dog dies, an other dog eats the dead one to reveal a "dog core" so you can make a little grave for the dead dog.
During the beta, I went on a quest to breed the dog with the biggest tail, no legs, and no head, and after a lot of time I did end up getting it... but at what cost.
Anyway hope you keep playing the game and getting stranger dogs! The creator of the game was extremely passionate about this game, and it's nice to see everyone giving it a try now that it's been fully released!

I love this game! Been playing since early access :) a little tip: if you crossbreed a whole bunch, you can get some fun mutations! Be careful though, if the simulation gets too unstable you can get some unfortunate dogs who are..... Survival challenged.
Adding to this: I believe you can disable dog death, so you don’t have to worry about a dog dying and immediately getting eaten by their brethren
