I'm in South Cackalacky and came across you guys on Classic Cars. It's nice to see a dealer asking less than Mecum prices for decent classics. I'm starting to get the bug and this truck not helping. 78 was also the last year of the 440 :( Growing up, our family car was a green 77 Dodge Aspen lol.....the interior on this thing took me right on back! I can almost smell the mint scent that the car wash charged extra for when they vacuumed hehe As for tire knocker gripes, the idle is making me a little seasick and the aftermarket tachometer is HORRIBLY crooked, which is on par with every old car I owned back in the day :) This is a great example of a great looking series of trucks.
Hell yeah, I have the same exact truck… your truck is in a bit better shape than mine, but they are sweet rides! 1978 dodge D150 with an original numbers matching 440, if yours is numbers matching, that makes two of us out of 74 club cabs with a 440 that were made that year! If I could post a picture of mine, I would. Duel exhaust straight piped out the side with a diamond plate, flap bed on the back(got it this way, and brought her back to life. Sunrise red is the color😎
Will you take a personal check? LOL that is one good-looking truck. I love the old Dodges you don't ever see anybody hot rodding then or building then they were kind of the ugly duckling of trucks back in that era. I think they look great I'm not a huge fan of the pull-off wheels that are on it I put some regular steel wheels back on it with some beauty rings and chrome caps. Just because the bolt pattern is the same on the 1978 and 2008 doesn't mean you need to put the 2008 Wheels on the 1978 Dodge pickup. Just because the wheels came off a Dodge pickup doesn't mean they'll look good on any Dodge
How do the drums rims ruin the old school look on not your truck🤔⁉️ It's crazy that people think that all vehicles need to look the same! I get so tired of the dumb wheel comments, get a life, and post yours!

@@KurtScheunemann thanks it's so very seldom that someone ever agrees with me
I love the truck I have a first generation ram myself. The wheels ruined the old school look tho
There is a saying about opinions... I can't quite remember how it goes right now
Needs carb tuning
