The last litter of three cubs to survive to independence in the Sabi Sand came on Londolozi wht the Nyeleti 4:3, Nyeleti 2:3/Mati Male, and the Nanga (Moya) Female, born in June 2009 to the Nyeleti Female. It is so tough to raise a single cub so that the Nkoveni Female has raised three cubs (from two separate litters) in her 12 years is truly a testament to the mother she is. May she have luck with this one!

Hi LGR. Although the 11yr and 7 month old Nkoveni female did have 3 very sweet and healthy cubs originally, but I do hope that she hasn't lost one of them there already. Have you managed to see what gender the cubs are yet at all? I hope, on the positive side, that she'll find the third cub alive and well and reunited with it's energetic siblings one day.
All we will have to do, is just hope that she will find the third cub that's missing. I'd like to think that will be the case. I know she's successfully raised 4 female offspring to adulthood already, but she's yet to raise a male cub or two to independence as well. I hope that there will be at least one male cub in this litter. But with the missing third cub out of the picture, I'd also like to think that she's left it somewhere else and she just hasn't brought it with her. As far as I know, that's the first time she's produced 3 cubs in one litter in her long lifetime.
I don't know what litter number this is, but she is and always has been a very good mother. Let's hope, that even if the third cub does or doesn't show up again, that she gets the remaining two youngsters to very hard independence and even harder adulthood. The cubs didn't seem very bothered about the vehicle as they were so busy running about chasing and playing with each other. They looked very nice and relaxed. She's a very good and fantastic mum.
Sorry if I keep on mentioning this particular cat so much, but I so would like to see the heavily pregnant Tsalala lioness in a few clips this year at some stage. Like you, I'd love to her with her very first litter of cubs, and so that she can rebuild her decimated birth pride's existence and numbers back up a fair bit.
So I hope she'll feature in a few video clips as she's a very good and special lioness to see and watch. Her pride's dynasty regrow will be such a nice thing to witness one day. If she used a lot of determination to get herself to five years old, then I don't see any reason why she shouldn't raise any cubs of her own to adulthood. As her tummy was looking quite big, I'd think she's got more than two cubs on the way. But it'll be great to see her become a successful first time mother in the end eventually.
She's a powerful and very clever huntress that knows what she's doing whenever she goes out hunting for food. Isn't she? I bet she'll go pop very soon one day. It'll be nice to see her be a great mother.
