There are a handful or 2 of quality carp anglers willing to share their experience, knowledge and absolute passion for what we love to do and Adam Penning is one of them! To watch a man share his knowledge with the conviction and spirit that this fella does is a joy to watch. 👏🏻👍🏻
When you say tiger nuts are the best baits for carp. I keep hearing mixed opinions about tiger nuts, yes they’re very good but I get told that they’re also very bad for carp? Is this true?
It's defiantly about doing your own thing. Adam says he won't bother with clunky snowmen. But that's all Steve Briggs uses as a bottom bait and you know how many fish over 50lbs he has cought. Its what works for you
Just watched this after watching over 20 hours of other Anglers talking about bait. I have just learnt so much in one hour. Thank you for sharing and making bait easy to understand. Top bloke 👊
This is brilliant, new to carp fishing here and I used mainline cell boilies, half crushed, half whole, mixed with smart liquid and smart fish and I catapulted it over a ronnie rig with a saturated boilie screwed on and had bites every half hour, great to learn about the garlic powder and can’t wait to try it!
This man has an excellent way of putting across the fundamental’s of carp angling . And it’s excellent information as to the reality of how we think about fishing . Top job Adam !!
Like Adam strait to point as it is use his advice on our family lake nobody understands where the bigger carp co.e from they all use small sweetcorn maize I mix it up oils glug crumb and match the hatch and boom 💥 first 10 fish is all 20s wich in our lake big cause it all wild carp and never cought before but they don't crawl up the line but they love Bailey thanks Adam you Legend mate.
Love sticky baits, won't use anything else... always catch on it & the krill active has mullerd the lakes ive fished it on. Deffo can't wait for the new stuff to come out, keep it up sticky
Wow, did this gem open my eyes. Blew the tiger nut tins and jars out of the water. I for one, won't buy tins any more. Well done Adam. This was melting my brain. The knowledge i took in will stay with me forever. Thanks pal. Youre the best.
Saw him at "The Big One" at Farnborough a few years back, he's the real deal. Had time for everyone, hopefully catch him down one of our local syndicates sometime. Tight Lines Adam :)
My PB came on just 2 pieces of corn, on a hair rig, on the bottom, over a small hand full of casters and maggots, about 2 rod-lengths down the margin in a 9ft gully that connected the two ends of the lake. I didn't even have to cast it out, I just dropped it on the spot about a foot or two from the bank and walked it a couple of metres down to the alarms. Most people recommended fishing over a bed of the pellet they're fed on but going against the grain can often produce and it was fishing very hard. It's still the biggest common landed at that lake. I find casters and maggots usually prove irresistible to carp and I use them everywhere I go if I can and often as a hookbait as well. Simple, well executed tactics can often be foolproof. Brilliant content as always from a straight talking, down to earth bloke, invaluable information for beginners to seasoned anglers and anyone in between. It has been a pleasure to watch. Tight lines and best of luck to everyone 👍
Spot on..... exactly what I’ve been looking for. New to carp fishing. Bait was one thing I had many questions about. Now I feel a bit more confident heading out for first time. Thank you.
I've learnt the most about fishing in general from Adam. I am not strictly a carp fisherman but it's still great advice and tips which helps My fishing. Thankyou.
What a fantastic video. The thing that put me off carp fishing was the amount if money you had to spend on kg on kg of boilies. What a refreshing outlook. Better get down the tackle shop and get some carp gear.
Good insight and great watch , have just been out and got a load of sticky bloodworm pellets ,boilies , have also gone back to bottom baits and simple mono rigs with small mesh pva bags and just getting into solid pva bags , doing a autumn/winter session on my local club water until it gets to cold 🥶 let's see how It goes 😀
Thanks for yet another top drawer video Adam - you are my goto guru i gotta say, no bullsht, no sponsors sale patter, just straight honest advice from a great guy and even better angler. Keep it up mate and i wish you the best christmas and new year and a cracking season next year.
Cheers Adam, first time I’ve come across your videos and it’s a real eye opener to me, it really doesn’t have to cost the earth for a good session, only trouble is that a lot of the lakes I fish don’t allow tigers and I dunno why?! I’ve been sat here watching and writing notes. All comes down to the preparation and willingness to try different things and ignore what others are doing and feeling confident. Really enjoyed your videos. Cheers!! By the way - I’d have to take at least two bottles of baileys as although the carp love it, so do I. Thanks 😊
Sweetcorn is a great bait why...visual. Top 3 selling boilies...Sticky Manilla, Mainline Cell, CC Moore Live System, all basically the same colour, great video.
Pukka vids, mate u get highview numbers on your vids, because your brilliant in front of camera,u explain rigs, baits, tactics, Just everything to do with fishing,, Massive thank u for great vids...
Really enjoyed watching this one Adam Something I’ve done through my carp fishing is mixing up a good concoction keeps the fish and other anglers guessing 🥳👍
This is gold, indeed. But how do we dare adding those liquids to our bait mix when we use pva bags that start dissolving the second they come in contact with our not so dry bait mix...?
I just hope other anglers on my lake don't watch.lol great vid mate. Ive been using a small stick with 3 boilie stringer for years in the winter mostly. Most honest bloke goin.
Brilliant once again Adam, thank you. Keep it up. Just a quick one, can you use your boilie crumb mixed with baileys/cloudy liquid/condensed milk (third of each) in pva stocking? many thanks. tight lines. Francis
Another excellent video! Brilliantly explained again by Mr Penning, just love the 'simplicity' message. Might have to adopt the rule of seven and see how lucky it is :-)
Absolutely brilliant 👏, the way you explain your reasoning behind the things you do is mesmerising. Keep these videos coming, can't wait for the next one!
Adam, wHat an awesome video, thanks for putting it out. I’m of the same generation as you, started carp fishing in the late 80’s, (ok so a bit older) I’ve come back to it over the last year after a 20 year period I fish small qtys of bait in high pressure waters but some of these ideas and thought processes have got me thinking how to catch even more and go against the tide. I love krill, krill powder and tigers, just started using them so this is brill.
Logical thinking and common sense at its best nice one Adam, I still to this day use me catay to Wang a few nuggets out anything else goes in a solidbag
Loving this video, this whole pop up/Ronnie bollocks that everyone seems to be doing has never really done as well for me, bottom baits blended into loose feed has always worked better personally. A bright pop up hovering above the deck is surely way too obvious and will spook most carp swimming over it
It's how I fish and always fish 😁😁😁 basics is key and totally agree "match the hatch" has always worked for me and never used floros and see it when I go fishing and see anglers scratching there heads why 😁😁😁 fantastic vids and currently experimenting on making my own boilies but like you say I'll always crumb them up or soak them in water and liquids "juice them up" 👍👍👍 brilliant adam and keep them coming 👊👊👊
Really enjoyed this video and it's amazing how people get confused over baits. I used to be one of them. I still wonder if I'm over kill with attraction but not so much now.
Hi Adam I can relate to what you've said about small single baits...I tried size 10 hook with a single hook bait 8mm wafter instead of heavy baiting...I beat my pb twice in same session...this was on a lake where its heavy on natural food n just wanted try something different from others around me
Very informative and a great watch as all things with Mr Penning in are, also nice to see a sponsored angler telling you to bait lightly rather than stoving 10 kilo’s in on each rod. Top work 👏🎣👍
That was brilliant Adam I thouroughly enjoyed listening to what you had to say, also to say I've done the prep with chick peas as in tigers and boy if you have the stomach for the smell it's win win, sick is the best way to describe the final product. 👍
First of All Thank you for your work! It's a really good material what u are producing. Keep it simple! My cuestion is that if u go to a competititon u still don use a bigger ammount of food for the carp ?u still keep it simple ?
There are a handful or 2 of quality carp anglers willing to share their experience, knowledge and absolute passion for what we love to do and Adam Penning is one of them! To watch a man share his knowledge with the conviction and spirit that this fella does is a joy to watch. 👏🏻👍🏻
Great comment Totaly agree good honest advice 👍
VERY clever angler is Adam
When you say tiger nuts are the best baits for carp.
I keep hearing mixed opinions about tiger nuts, yes they’re very good but I get told that they’re also very bad for carp?
Is this true?
Absolutely brilliant, shows where we have all been going wrong over the years. Back to basics and not following the trends of others.
It's defiantly about doing your own thing. Adam says he won't bother with clunky snowmen. But that's all Steve Briggs uses as a bottom bait and you know how many fish over 50lbs he has cought. Its what works for you
Adam penning on of my favorite carp anglers. A great angler of all times 👌👍
adding gold fish flakes to the crumb works a treat
Just watched this after watching over 20 hours of other Anglers talking about bait. I have just learnt so much in one hour. Thank you for sharing and making bait easy to understand. Top bloke 👊

I’ve watched a lot of fishing videos on RUclips but this was on another level, brilliant informative content 👌🏼
Some fantastic Baiting Advice From Adam 👌
Like Adam strait to point as it is use his advice on our family lake nobody understands where the bigger carp co.e from they all use small sweetcorn maize I mix it up oils glug crumb and match the hatch and boom 💥 first 10 fish is all 20s wich in our lake big cause it all wild carp and never cought before but they don't crawl up the line but they love Bailey thanks Adam you Legend mate.

so true my local pond ! BARLOW yes 1 tin of corn n 6mm halibut pellets 👍 😁 will do me 24hrs

Very insightful and honest, great vid.
