- A group of us girls from Michigan drove down for the blue October concert in Cleveland Ohio November 9th 2018. We wore shirts where we each had a word on them spelling out "Just Let That Shit Go"! We mainly created the shirts to help cheer Justin up. He had been being bogged down by a lot of people saying awful things about him, the band and the tour manager on the Internet due to some changes. I told him why we made the shirts. We did it for him, to help cheer him up. We wanted to let him know that his fans love him and support him. The gratitude on his face as he took my hand and told me that he loved me told me that we helped warm his heart. We were all extremely moved when he mentioned us as one of the bright spots of his day when he did this speech before the song "Fear".

This man has helped me so much! Everytime my depression is at its worst I listen to his songs. Especially Fear! Gets me up

My conscious tried to tell me that I failed every day. My sons tell me I succeeded (that is all that matters). God tells me He loves me, (Thank you Lord. I am so unworthy). in spite of my failures. I thank God I am the conqueror. Fear trembles in my presence, because I realized who I am in the I Am. I always get back up. I have no fear. Thank you.
Didn’t know any songs by this guy /band before, but heard one of their songs in the gym today. Looked it up. Ended up on this video. Feel like the universe brought it to me…
Been quietly fighting an addiction lead on by my lifelong fight with depression & increasing anxiety.
Last week I finally made it my first day without using (after several months of 24/7 use).
I usually don’t respond to motivational monologues like this but wow was this one different.
Every word spoke to me so powerfully…
“I wake up in a panic…” man, me too. Every single day I wake up feeling panicked, exhausted, overwhelmed, defeated… nice to know I’m not the only one.

This made me tear up 😢 in a dark place right now and I’m sure feeling it. But this motivational video has given me hope. I can get better and I can kick this bipolar stuff in the ass and keep moving forward.

My dad has been sober since 2020 and i have been sober since 2022. He showed me Blue October during the height of my addiction. We saw them last year and all of my little brothers were there. We were able to get 3 front row seats and 2 in the 10th. My brothers were up front and Justin gave my youngest one of his picks. I remember looking over and seeing my dad crying and telling me “It’s been so long since everything has felt okay, and everything is okay right now.” That was the most special moment I’ve ever had with anyone and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life.
Fear is a lie. The only place fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. We look into a future we cannot possibly know and we create negative outcomes and that is the root of fear.
With the same mental effort we can create positive outcomes and the beautiful thing is... our brain doesn't care what we give it to work on.
So... might as well give it positive outcomes to work on creating.
Fear is a lie. Never forget that.
Awww. I love you. We are all fucked up in some way, have battles that we constantly fight, but hope, hope is what gets me through!! Love your music, voice, style!!
This song helped me thru my rehab journey. I listened to it every single morning at full volume!! Thank God my neighbor became my bff!! Along with Home.. And Save me from Jelly Roll. He had no choice!! Lol.. Which I sang sober at a coin out at a his coin out.... Ill keep doing this every fucking morning!! Almost 6 months sober!! Im learning new songs daily..
And green is my favorite color!!!

Nothing harder then fighting through the internal conflict when we are down. The opening of this explained it beautifully. ,but damn is it tough to push through when we are low. Keep fighting the fight people,like I am trying to do now. Make it till tomorrow and fight again.

I come back to JF and FEAR several times a year. It’s when I do that I know I’ve been internalizing and living “cooped up in myself” somehow, somewhere inside myself. And it’s time to not look inward, no, but to look UPward. And to seek HIM. To breathe. Know HE’s got me. And I’m beautiful and strong and talented. And I got live that truth honestly and lovingly. It may be a little crazy beautiful sketchy passionate for some people. But the RIGHT people will appreciate that I’m an not dangerous or scary or a freak. I’m human. And trying my best every day to be good and do good. Just like Jesus would. Thank you to Justin for ALWAYS speaking his truth with us. I'm praying for all of you. I know EXACTLY what you all are talking about. I've been there more than once. Thank God for Justin and his lyrics, his message. I've realized that just being a good person and just trying to do good is not all we need. We have to lay our sins, all of our dirty laundry out for God to see; we have to confess it all and then ask him to come into our hearts and take control of our lives and work through us. Forgive us and use us to reach others who need to know HIS power & peace.

Sometimes you need that inner voice to yell at you. It's crazy how it's just you by yourself and only yourself can get you out of this and to get you up. How is it that you can be your own worst enemy but your best damn friend at the same time? Nobody knows you or understands you better than yourself. It takes an incredible amount of strength and courage to force and push your own self and choose to live and I applaud that ;;
