I got the next gen of the mp5 light set up. West german police surplus aiming module. Mounts similar and is powered by a small go cart battery you carry in a bag. Sends out a beam with cross post sights.
hope my comment doesnt get lost in the sauce here but im honestly surprised you brought up the PERST lasers. As I DO want a high power laser after using the high power modes on the PEQ-15s when I was in Afghanistan, I learned thats truly the best way to use an IR laser. Honestly alot more to it than just target acquisition. Seeing that high power beam is good to know a friendlies position as you can trace the beam back to your friendly and also see what hes looking at, its good to identify targets to other team members, and its amazing for signaling purposes. You can lasso it in the sky to mark your position to other elements on the ground or to signal aircraft above to show your current position. So having that high power beam holds much much more functionality than just being able to shoot targets under NODS. Could you actually do a video on the PERST??? I think alot of us would love to see how they hold up considering theyre high power and MUCH more cost effective and budget friendly. I would super super super appreciate a video on it and if you could definitely test them out more to see if that rumor of them not holding zeros as well holds to be true, because that would be a huge downfall for me. Not many videos on them and you go very in-depth and give your honest most true opinion and I value your opinion over others here on RUclips. so again, a video on the PERST would be super super sweet :D
I'm on the fence between the PERST-4 with separate IR light such as an M300V, or just getting the PERST-3. Seems like it's hard to go wrong with either from what I've heard about them though.
@@AlbertaTacticalDude I think if you can afford the Pest 3? go for it! I think the biggest deciding factor between the 3 and the 4 is price. I think if you already have an IR light such as an m300v/600v, the 3 isnt so much needed and you can save on cost and get the 4, but if you want 1 unit to do both and you can fork up the money for it...get the 3
I have a perst 4 and it’s pretty good. Nver experienced any issue other than accidentally clicking it twice and putting it into a weird strobe mode. I’ve heard of several issues they have from people on social media, but everyone that I’ve talked to loves theirs. I’m currently saving up for a used full power peq tho.
The answer to the laser/illuminator question as a civilian is Mawl C1+. So worth it. My laser goes across the mountain ridge on my ranch. Best purchase ever!

The Russian laser module sounds usefull AF, especially for us Europeans (so it's not expensive and shipping takes max 1 month). Also personally i'd prefer the blue light one with the very dim outer circle and semi-bright middle circle, because the other ones just give me migraines even from watching it on a monitor.... I have no personal experience, but i'd think it would be best to have a bright innercone for and have semi-bright outercone, just because you're probably more focussed on the innercone and the light doesn't blind you as much.

Lol *people who used to vape* finally a use for all those 18650s! On a serious note I love my Nitecore MH25 have had the older MH25 from 6 years ago and was great with 970 lumens, waterproof, take 18650s and has a weapon mount. It's a little bulky but works. They've upgraded the MH25 to 1000 lumens, and 120 bucks with the mount which is the one I have now after I my "battle warn, dropped on concrete floor for several years doing auto work being in the woods and then tossed on asphalt cracked the glass but still works" old model got retired
I have enough $ to buy literally almost any gun(s) and accessories I want, but I like to keep my money so I have a rifle light, uses the 18650 rechargeable for I think 60$ and it hasn't gave one issue, pressure pad and a few extra bucks for rail and mlok mount, and it has a profound center and flood, really surprised by the 12,000 lums but I've on bought one for a house/trunk gun
We definitely need a new video with these devices landing in way different price points now and how rare it is to find the MAWL-x1/DA and the NGAL. Also the Wilcox raid. Maybe try a holosun option. The budget options for lasers should be removed from the talk even the old Steiner stuff even the atpial-c. They're so outdated I'd be willing to pay 2 to 3x the price to get 3-5x the performance especially with Pvs31s
Literally all my questions just got answered between time 8:00 and 11:00 in the video. I now see why a lot of people don't run pistol lasers and why lights are more preferable. I ended up getting a X400U but I can make that work. So going further into the video It just seams that unless you have Nods lasers are not great or in this case based and for that I can see why Lucas pushes the light more espacially with this being two years ago in the middle of covid. So having a light source now and then IR lights and lasers later when you access Nods given that your saving money, but that is if the govt. doesn't try to ban them as well.

The content on this channel is always very informative, I just wish you'd get your audio levels consistent. Definitely recommend setting up some compressors per audio channel to a limiter on the master at the very least.

Lucas! Why the actinblack DTNVS over the NVD BNVD ultralights? NVD stuff is made in the US, and quite frankly the unit is just as light and has way more features! Can accept an external battery back (albeit proprietary), uses AA, 10 year warranty, and offers manual gain. Why is everyone on the actinblack train when we have an American company that has been making a more fully featured unit?
I agree no YT shilling here but the lights absolutely do work and are brighter than my old TLR1 with similar foot print. I mean will it survive WW3? IDK but it has survived me thrashing it at the range and carrying it a lot.
I found a killer deal on surefire Vampire the x300 version. I'm thinking that with the picatinny light rail, I can bypass the need for an atpial or dual, etc... buy the dual pressure switch from the trex site, and im ser. The x300v was 200 each! Killer deal. I run an aimpoint T1 micro mainly. Thoughts?

If we are not allowed to buy a class 3 laser aiming device, how are protesters able to buy lasers that can blind people online? Are they really able to do permanent damage to the eye with only a few seconds of exposure? Are they perhaps only a class 1 laser? I remember people pointing them at airplanes 20 or so years ago and the FDA trying to put a stop to people buying those. Would love to own a MAWL one day. Got the money but need to buy nods first.
High power infrared lasers are restricted by the FDA, with the reasoning being that they can cause eye damage with the victim not realizing (since IR is invisible to the naked eye). High power visible lasers aren’t as restricted.
I know this is 3 years old. 18650s weren’t new then. Vapes use to use them. Not the disposables the fancy ones that produced a lot of vapor and all that. And people were like omg flash lights run on vape batteries. No. Other way. 18650s have been flash light batteries for a long time.
