Dunkin' Donuts in lebanon has the nastiest tasting American coffee i've ever had, it's like water dyed black flavored with a couple of drops of old stale coffee. You want coffee, head to Starbucks, it's like night and day.
You made me feel a bit better about my move, but I'll leave the driving up to a taxi or uber. Thedriving looks scary. Its much different from here in the U.S.

LOL, I don't know if this video was shot in one day and if it was, I would not have been able to eat all that food in a 3 or 4 hour time span, and if I managed to do that, I probably would have gained at least 15 pounds! :-> Good video though. :-)
Didn’t think Mcdonald’s & Burger King would be more expensive in Lebanon than it’d be here in Morocco! A large Big Mac meal @ McDonald’s would cost around 5-5.5$ (and you can either have fries or wedges) and the same menu you chose at BK would cost around 7$ And Big Mac is the smallest burger here lol

NO! When I saw that they have drive-thru in Lebanon now I knew immediately that this was the end of Lebanese culture as we know it! With the addition of this American cultural feature (though practical) Lebanon seems to have become the 51st state of the USA. I like Burger King, KFC, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, but I like them as COMPLEMENTS to, and alongside, authentic Lebanese establishments. The only Lebanese coffeeshop that I THINK is truly Lebanese is the Maison du Cafe and whenever I used to go there I used to feel like I was IN LEBANON. On the other hand, everytime I used to walk into a Starbucks or a Dunkin' Donut store I would feel like I was in the USA with the only difference being that people were speaking Arabic. I miss the days of MODCA, STRAND, and CAFE DE PARIS on Hamra Street because they were uniquely Lebanese establishments and had their own unique style and their own unique spirit which had something Lebanese about it. With the addition of this drive-thru service to an already excessive American culinary and social culture Lebanon is en route to losing its unique Lebanese style and culture because people seem to prefer those American establishments over Lebanese ones and feel that it is more "cool" and "hip" to frequent such places.as opposed to Lebanese ones. Very sad indeed.
