@@kc79ta I’m going with multiple voltages…12v for cars and easy transport…24v for larger portable uses like RV my white beauty shown in my icon pictur..etc and 48v for either large trailer power or home/work use. With your busbars do you have anything behind them or is it just screwed to the board Just wondering because I’m making some right now for my 3. EG4 batteries Thanks for The realistic video signature Solar runs unrealistic loads and they show you their test of a few LED lights and a Skil saw
Do you have 120 volts going to both growatt's? For charging? Or can you just use one to charge the batteries from a generator or shore power? Thanks so much for your time!!
Both, Once you set them up to run in Split Phase (240v) you will need to run 240v and split it down to 2-120v lines one for each Growatt. If you only run a 120 v line to one of the Growatts you will get alarm 15&16 for "Parallel input phase error". Ask me how I know, lol.
@@kingasapj3160 I can't say for sure, as I never tried that way, but as long as the transformer outputs 240v that you can split into 2-120v legs it should.
It takes both set-up in split phase for 240. Hot on inverter1 to hot on inverter2. Hot to neutral is only 120v. Yes, both units could be set-up to run at 120v in parallel mode.
@kc79ta okay thanks I have 2 identical 120v 24v 3000 watt solar hybrid inverter chargers here running eifht now but they don't have the parallel option
Hi, Both units will have AC out connections. Master will have L1 and neutral, and slave will have L2 and neutral. Both units output 120 volt. The communication cables go between both units causing the units to operate perfectly out of phase of each other giving you 240 volt between L1 on master and L2 slave. And of course the Grounds will also be hooked up. The same goes for the AC input if you choose to use it. You will need a 240 volt supply and run L1 to one unit and L2 to the other, or so I heard. I can not confirm this at this time as I do not have the AC Input hooked up on mine. I have been charging by solar only.
Thank you so much!! You helped me a lot with my project. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Thanks for your business!!
Can I make a parallel setup with only one battery bank? Thanks
Yes, it is better to have only one bank. It will hook to both units.
@kc79ta are those 24v units?
Yes, 24 volt. Kind of wish I went with the 48 volt. Better selection of batteries.

Can you talk about the grounding?. I heard signature solar had different units than what you would get from growatt directly

They are just screwed to the board with 1/4" spacers between the board and busbar. Thanks for watching.
@@kc79ta like plastic or some non conductive ?
@@cowboymcq6711 Yes, I used plastic.

@kc79ta ok so if I only have 1 120volt leg I'll have to use my auto transformer to make 2 120volt legs that would work correct?

"Yeah i got to clean up some of this stuff". Ya think?
If you have 3 can there be configured to 3 phase?
Yes, according to the manual you can get 3 phase. I have never done this, so I can not tell you how well it works.
Nice!
so only 240v from that one inverter on the hot and neutral ? would the other inverter remain at 120v and can both inverters run at 120v ?

Do you happen to have a wiring diagram for your set up?

Hello can you if you have a 10 kw inverter make it by software a 8 kw inverter ????
Hello, I am doing the same set up, so the slave unit only needs battery cables to it, no ac? and the master will be 120 and the slave 240? Thank you.

they come already boxed from china.
