    Dude! That negative scan was awesome. I was expecting a digital film looking scan. So cool! 😊

    Love, love, love your videos. If it is possible to suggest: the music overlay is really loud. Most of your subscribers probably don't notice it but for some of the older ones it is sometimes hard to hear what you are trying to explain as the music sounds louder than your voice. Thank you.

      Thank you Ronda, unfortunately the background music in my earlier videos was a little much 🥴 I’ve eliminated most of it from my newer ones like this, so thank you for bearing with me as I learn and adjust things along the way. I appreciate you taking the time to share that and I’m so glad you love the videos!

      I agree with the background music. Even this lower volume is distracting when you are voicing over. Many don’t use any music anymore. We would rather hear you and your excellent content. 😊

      @@redbird275thank you for your feedback and encouraging words! The music was overpowering indeed, so I do appreciate your patience sticking with me despite the cringeworthy noise levels on some of these videos 😂

      I’m happy to help! What size are the larger negatives you have and are you scanning them using a V550 as well?

    Hi, is there any difference between the 550 and 600? I’m looking at getting a flatbed scanner to scan old photos like Carte de Visites (from 1850). I saw some reviews of the 600 that said it’s not always sharp and colours are sometimes off. Do you know if the 550 is better? Thanks.

      Hi! I have not personally tried scanning with the 600 so I can’t say how results from the two compare side by side (although that would be interesting and perhaps I can do something like that eventually because they are popular scanners still!). It appears that they’re built almost identically, but I’d be more interested as well in whether they produce the same results. A great question, thank you, and one I hope you be able to give a better answer to in the future.

      I think the only difference is that the 600 is wireless and the 550 isn't.

    I have a V550 that I bought a few years ago. Just wondering about downloading the software to use the scanner. I've attempted to download the software from the Epson website. The configuration page doesn't give me the scan option. Maybe they aren't supporting the software anymore? I'm using Windows 11.

      I'm also using Windows 11. Not sure if you are having the same problem I am, but when I open Epson Scan the buttons are invisible. The buttons are actually there, but not shown. I click on where the button should be and it shows up and starts the Preview or Scan.

      @@jimt7077 that was my issue. There's actually a few more drivers that you have to install along with it.

      Hello! My apologies for such a delayed response, somehow I missed your comments on this video. It sounds like you may have already solved the problem though? If not, I found this article from Epson specifically addressing the issue you mentioned for Windows 11 that I hope is helpful: epson.com/faq/SPT_WIN11-NS~faq-0000d6c-windows11?faq_cat=faq-topFaqs

    what cleaner do you recommend?

    • @familyslegacy
      @familyslegacy  Год назад

      Hi Erin! I use a microfiber cloth to clean the glass of the scanner bed and I keep it dry unless it’s just really not doing the trick, in which case I’ll dampen the microfiber cloth with distilled water and give that a go next. Unless you have a particularly stubborn smudge or residue that neither of these methods is working on?
