very good video! I have some suggestions: first - wash the motherboard with water and detergent without fear, then let it dry well in the sun or in an oven. Second- adjust the RF coil with the video game turned on, stirring with something that does not conduct electricity (plastic or wooden stick). Third - you need to protect the metal plates against corrosion either by electrolysis with zinc (you can find this inside 9v batteries or 1.5v batteries) or by using a rust converter that transforms the surface into a base for painting! Fourth - remove and measure Image capacitors which, in the case of the Master System Power Base, often cause problems with image and sound noise!
I'm amazed that fired up with no cap replacement though the Master System is a very bullet proof Console. Get the Novus, plastic restoration kit. I just did my Master System with it and it looks brand new. The Kit will buff out a lot of scratches and get the film off of the plastic that soap and water can't. Solid stuff regardless.
WD-40, Liquid Wrench, or any petroleum based solvent should never be used on or in close proximity to plastics. The plastics will now become brittle and crack/break over time.
Your work was pretty good, but it could be perfect if you clean the housing of this console and the rust properly, there is still a lot of dirt left and the rust will continue to eat away at this plate.
While re assembly, the casing still looks dirty, but otherwise good job👍 Plus the new decal could of gone with a good buffing of the casing. Not a full restoration. I had one of these in better looking condition, even after you worked on yours. I was going to say something about the left direction on the d pad but I see you went left after finishing Act 1. I noticed the title screen & the map screen music was sped up for some reason.
@@bricoda I would replace all of the stickers so none are green instead of red. I would also clean out the remaining rust with an electric toothbrush from the plastic. Nickel plate would be good or at least grind of f the remaining rust and paint with chrome paint and a clear coat everywhere except the screw holes
Nice job! Still a lot of rust left inside which will continue to corrode. Might look into replating those metal parts with nickel. And did you say you cleaned the board with gas? What kind of gas?
Thank you, Use special gas to clean electronic boards As for the remaining rust, I was thinking about changing the metal parts with new ones, but I thought about restoring them
I was expecting a better restoration, like sand blasting the metal shields, and much better job with the main board and the black overall case shell looks pretty bad as well. nice to see it alive but barely...lol
Hi man. I can't found too much fixing videos for Master System, only yours and another one . One question, maybe you know how to fix this error? : Mine works good , but after 20 to 30 minutes of gameplay, the sound starts to fail, and get even more and more low pitched, until it start to sound like Crunchy. Any idea what is going on, and how to fix that?
Most of the job. Lots of effort here, the cleaning, restoring and video work. But leaving a rusty spring? Reusing rusty screws? Not spraying /treating the metal covers? Come on, do that last 10%

This comment should be pinned at the top.
I love to see things restored to working condition and saved from landfill. It is just so satisfying.
The RF module has blown caps or something. Lots of Interference on that picture
Nice job Saving that Sega master system
I'm glad this machine found you! Awesome job, keep up the good work! 👍
thank you :)

Awesome cleaning for that system
Amazing job! I want to do the same for mine but where can i find the power button the one you changed?
For me I got the button through a friend of mine who had some spare parts
Where did you buy/find the replacement red label sticker????
Same here, i would like to know that...
One of my friends gave it to me
What a beatiful sight - now I need to watch all your videos...
(subed)
what a beautiful comment
you are welcome

Thats some job well done
Nice And Easy Good Work ;)
Kudos for restoring tthe shielding. Many people just chuck it, which to me seems half-assed.
What liquid was used on the motherboard?
Just medical alcohol without water

Thank you, I did not have enough tools while working on this project.
Nice
thank you

Hi, where did you find the red plastic that used to be green?
I'm sorry I didn't explain in the video how I got that piece.
I just got it from one of my friends and didn't buy it
Is there another way to clean the rust? WD-40 & fine sandpaper? Have a few i picked up that are horrible
220 grit sandpaper.
7:10 🤣
Where do I get the new face plate?
You can find it on the internet
I got it from one of my friends

I will use nickel plating on another project
What was once a powerbase system became later on a rusty based system,,,untill you fixed it,hahaaa😁

Thank you
It was valuable feedback and advice
I am a beginner and I have a lack of tools, so you will find some errors and this is possible
I used to have that console was better then the nes

I think you should change the audio capacitors.
Try soaking thr metal in distilled white vinegar
Does that Remove Rust?
Basement flood?
Morning
What did happen to this unit ?
Tears in Rain ? Sonic in a swimming pool at night ?
Who knows ?
Get yourself a Dremel mate for the rust.
Also car black polish brings up black plastics.

Este game estava enterrado em um pântano kkkkkkkkkkk
beyruth style restoration. xD
A good start with cleaning but u neglict a lot of things to call it "restoration". It's just a fast clean.
So many things wrong with this. Using Pozi-drive bits on Plilips heads... Putting rusty parts back on. No static safety precautions, Etc.
I didn't have enough tools
@@bricoda At least it turned out ok. And not fake, which is something!
Invest in some good screwdrivers/bits and a rotary tool to clean up the rust.
True, this is what I do. I try to invest in tools and try to learn and develop myself. Thank you for all your comments. I will take them seriously.
Can you restore the ps2 Please
Yes I can
You can contact me
Okay
i have an sega genesis that i would like to get restore
#Sega CODE RED ALERT - CODE BLACK COVERT - ALERT AND COVERT OPERATIONS
Pésimo trabajo con el tiempo puedes mejorar. suerte!
thank you :)
when are you restoring it that is only half the job

Hahahaha
90 percent of the video is just cleaning the case, you expect me to believe the circuit board just worked without repair? nonsense
