    Great work mine boost to 76v without potentiometer from 3.7v but drops as soon às i put even a simple load and doesn't work why?

    The guy who had 68v on the 35v capacitor was lucky that the capacitor didn't explode, put a higher voltage on the capacitor and if the coil squeaks, it means that it is very loaded and the coil probably has too low a maximum current, if the coil gets hot, change the coil

      you can use the same circuit to convert 5V to 12V. Use the potentiometer to adjust the output voltage to 12V, then add a 12v zener diode at the output. The current is low but it will still work.

    works great! BTW, i was wondering, if I use a lower trigger voltage MOSFET, would it be capable of stepping FROM lower voltages? say, 1-2.5V?

      You can use high power N channel MOSFETs to boost voltage without too much heat problems. I used IRFz44N MOSFET for my project. It shorted from a high voltage feedback in the coil bc I don't have any zener diodes to protect my MOSFET from blowing up.

      Add a 12v zener diode from gate to source of MOSFET to protect high voltage from killing the MOSFET.
