  • How to get started with Universal Audios Apollo Twin X Duo Interface. Console is the interface for seeing the signals coming into your DAW and setting the proper levels for recording. There are so many parameters within Console that can be confusing at first, but today I will break down how to use it in the most elementary way.
The Apollo Twin X is a must-have for professional-grade home studio recording. You can run just about any microphone through this preamp and it is going to sound great. There are many buttons on the hardware that I will break down so that you can start recording today.
Console is another way of setting your inputs and levels on the computer as opposed to doing everything on the hardware. This is especially helpful when you would rather spend more time on the computer instead of using the hardware. You also need to monitor the levels to know that you aren't too soft and your not cranking the gain to the point where you are clipping.
In this video, I give examples of what talking sounds like through the preamp with a microphone. I also show you how to use the sends so that you can have effects on your voice or instrument which will put you in a different vibe when recording. There are a couple clips in here of me singing with the preamps using the unison technology engaged and using the stock preamp.
I hope you enjoyed this video! If you got something out of it please like the video and subscribe to the channel for more content. It really helps out (:
